The story of 14-year-old misfit Graham Young, committed to Broadmoor in 1962 after poisoning his stepmother and attempting to kill his father, sister and friend. Subscribe to Our Life: bit.ly/3dBMxvl

Serial killers are the dark stars of modern culture. But is it nature or nurture that creates a serial killer? Produced by Twofour, Born To Kill? takes an in-depth look at some of the most notorious murderers from around the world. School teachers, school friends and family members are interviewed about the childhood of the killer. Investigating officers remember the crimes and analyse the scene of the murders. Each standalone episode focuses on one killer to gain an understanding of what drove them down the path to murder. Was it madness, or the culmination of a series of traumatising events in their early lives, and is there a common pattern for this gruesome group? Born To Kill? investigates.

And, they let him study the poisons in jail where he refined it, is crazy. Like the creep himself.

So yet another monster who begins as an animal abuser. Yet when animal abusers are identified their cruelty is rarely taken seriously.

Why are the people who release these maniacs never held accountable for the subsequent deaths?

What a sad story. It’s one from a very long time ago but I can’t help but ask one question that comes to mind immediately. Why would he ever be put back into society? Not to mention a job like that, not tell anyone his history and let him mix chemicals again. It just sounds like no one thought this through whatsoever.

Brilliant documentary, I always find these fascinating. He looks downright evil in the mughshot picture. I really don't understand the logic the staff had in Broadmoor. He was arrested for murdering people by poisoning, but he is allowed to continue reading books on toxicology...yes this makes total sense...
