Her name is Jennie Johnson and she got sentenced to 6 years for the perjury related to the original 1987 trial.
She was sentenced in May 2021.
She appealed the conviction but was denied.
So she did get punished too.

I was thinking what about double jeopardy; but then I looked it up as far as how it applies in the UK. Changes to that law in 2005 (new evidence) made Russell Bishop's conviction possible after an acquittal decades before. So YAY!! RIP Nicola and Karen xxxx

Watching those parents grieve their children is so sad. In their minds their children are always small and had a terrible end. Just thinking about it takes them right back. It would be hard to be happy again after knowing that. The terror they felt. He is a huge monster.

36 years is not justice. And I'm guessing the only reason Bishop is still alive today is that he gets separate treatment and round the clock protection in jail - the kind of life and safety protection that his victims never got.
