Especially at the end, this is what the song reminds me of:
A hero/protagonist was prophesied to be the best thing to happen for the world, and everyone assumes that means they will defeat the villain killing off the “hero’s”, so the hero defeats the villain aka “lemon boy”
Though the villain keeps coming back, and eventually the hero asks them why they keep trying to take apart the society everyone’s worked so hard for. They explain why, and the hero begins to side with hem, as they realize that the villain is right. their “friends” weren’t willing to see how they were the villains of the story.
