releasing entropy and fire escape before the album drop was so genius.
the lyrics from entropy and that riff from fire escape showing up in love song hit SO HARD and i feel like it's because i was already so familiar with them from hearing those songs dozens of times already.
in the song "scream" when she says "its funny how we get along as long as im quiet" and then that synth chord comes in like a dagger and stabs you in the gut omggg. this band is incredible
listening to this album beginning to end was an emotional trip.

Just listened to the album in full and wow... I loved Honeymoon, but Emotional Creature is on another level. These songs are going to mean a lot of different things to a lot of different people. For me, the theme of unapologetically expressing emotion and loudly opening your heart stood out. As someone who habitually holds in emotions, that hit hard. I know a lot of Beach Bunny's messages appeal to young girls (which is great! they're good messages,) but it's a statement to the music's power that this album also uniquely resonated with me as a mid-20s man.
Thank you, Beach Bunny for putting this art out into the world.

okay hear me out
at 3:25 the lyrics in the bridge from Entropy are repeated and the chord progression in the instrumental follows the same pattern
except here it sounds more.. upbeat? it feels brighter
but in Entropy it feels sadder
i wonder if Entropy is supposed to be someone coming to terms with a relationship or something like that falling apart and ending (or maybe just them losing someone), but by Love Song theyve accepted what happened and have moved on and can even reminisce on the relationship since the reprise has a "happier" sound
idk

I love when artists reprise earlier melodies at the end of an album. This one really catches you by surprise, and it’s all so seamless. She’s such an underrated songwriter.
