Hampi was one of my favourite places in India. Only a handful of tourists back then. At some temples we were the only people there. Amazing place, rich monuments, stunning landscape and all very quiet.

Hampi the richest city in the world and the capital of of Vijayanagara empire, now it's a village. although 95% of the place is destroyed due to invasion and rest are destroyed partially but still it is one of the most beautiful places ever. is also very calm and quiet place away from the busyness of the cities.

Thanks for showing the rich heritage of the Vijayanagara empire. Not many know about this, but the birthplace of Lord Hanuman is not too far from Hampi. Its called called Anjanadri hills. Hampi is without a doubt, a priceless, timeless part of Indian history - which needs to be cherished more than it is currently!

Karl: Kailasa temple & Ellora caves were constructed by Rashtrakutas, a dynasty from Karnataka. Vijayanagar empire followed in the same footsteps. That's the reason why you see similarities. Further, you should visit Aihole, Badami, Pattadakallu to see the artistic talent of that era.

Hampi, was one of my favorite places in India 40 years ago and even today, as you say, it is easy to get lost amongst the rocks. And while not visiting it the last time i was in India 10 years ago, i am reminded every time i travel in Central Otago (by motorcycle, of course)...of Hampi .

Probably my favourite place in the world, somewhere I always return to any chance I can. There are many places to explore in the area with some amazing huge boulders which I find as exciting as the temples. Great Video, thank you Karl ❤

There is just so much about this world that I learn every day through channels like yours. I would not know this existed without your video. It's just not something normally discussed at all out-side India.
