Every review of this film I have watched have all used the same word "Different", and in that way, everyone isn't wrong. I had my 70 year-old mother watch the film, and ironically, she described it as "watching 60s Batman", so the movie does succeed in having viberant colors (another thing every review online seems to agree with).

Love the idea for this years Monster Madness. Just hearing James talk about movies is fun in of itself. It was also fun to hear such an honest review of the film. I would have guessed that this kind of wacky humor would be to James' taste, but it's commendable that he can see past that and view the films flaws as well.

There was also the 2012 movie called "Mockingbird Lane" which was technically The Munsters as the character names were the same about The Munster family moving into 1313 Mockingbird Lane. The movie starred Jerry O'Connell as Herman, Eddie Izzard as Grandpa. Despite the pilot getting really high reviews, it was immediately canceled after the pilot aired. The movie was going for a modern darker and edgier horror/comedy

Maybe I missed it when you were listing reboots, but I think you forgot The Munsters Today from '87-'91? Was I just not paying attention? It's the one where Lee Meriwether hung-up her catsuit and played Lilly. You're doing a fine jod, James. Thank you for still being around and creating content after all these years!

One thing in any Munsters reboot that will always be hard to capture, is the chemistry between Al Lewis and Fred Gwynne. They had worked together before and knew how to play off each other. They are an unsung comedy team. I think it's possible to do again, but the original show was lightning in a bottle.
