Was in high school when the first Fast and Furious movie came out. School went from Mustangs and pickups to lowered Civics of all sorts. This EF would had been a holy grail back then.

Physically smiled seeing the RPF1's uncovered! I was expecting the new PF06 but was happy to see the RPF1 still getting some love. Perfect choice! And great engagement hack to put the valve cover ground in the wrong spot.πŸ˜‚ I came to the comments to see everyone all fired up and wasn't disappointed. Might need to double check where mine is attached now. Haha Really loving this car!

The valve cover ground is in the wrong location, it has to be on the VC stud next to it. That small bolt hole is for JDM throttle cable brackets.

RPF1’s are the perfect choice for this build. Got tired of seeing them for a while but they are chefs kiss on a 90’s Honda.

As bladeboi, I noticed the Grimsmo immediately. Their knives are top tier and priced accordingly.

The "peoples republic of california" is the most epic comment ever! Nice job on the build. Looking forward to seeing track day.

Me at the beginning of this build series: "Oh, man?! Another Honda build??" Me during the last five minutes of this video: "Oh, man! Sublime....that's the stuff..."

Got my first EF in 2102. Was a gift from my best friend after I had been wanting a project Civic for year. I always wanted a 99 coupe, until I drove my buddies EF. I was sold and from then on have not been without this chassis.

Watching this series brings me back to the early 2000s, when I built my 89 EF hatch over the course of 3-4 years. It's final iteration was similar to this, but a little more hardcore, with a 2.0L GSR motor, jdm siR trans, roll bar, integra front brakes, racing seat, coilovers, etc. Was truly a track monster that was dsuper fun. And yeah, swapping those shifter bushings is a huge improvement. I'd also recommend installing a front traction bar, or at least replacing the old front radius bushings with spherical bearings. It makes a big difference with the front end stability and steering feel.

This is the best car you've had on the channel! The EF is the best looking chassis Honda ever made.

This car actually has 200k miles on the chassis. It was the cleanest EF I had ever seen, that's why I bought it. Glad it's being featured in this build. I miss it but wasn't driving it so it needed to go to a good home.

Glad you pointed out torquing bushing bolts under load! So often overlooked.

Ran a B series for decades without a baffled pan at the track. K series on the other hand, it got a baffled pan before ever seeing the road! Spot on with the rake! I always setup mine to have 1/4 in but the suspension is very stiff.
