POV:
I made my way down the aisle, tears slowly forming at the brim of my eyes. My eyes finally met his, tears filling his to.
Only his glacé went to someone else, someone behind me. A beautiful angelic bride, her arm linked with her dads.
A smile spread across her face, showing her adorable dimples. She was everything you could ever dream of. Her smile would light up even the darkest nights and her admirable laugh mesmerised everyone in the room.
And there I was, tears streaming down my cheeks. Watching the love of my life, getting married to another. As his vows left his mouth pure love could be heard in his voice, it had always been her, he just never cared to tell me.
All the beautiful loving moments we shared left his memory the moment he said "I do" But did they leave me, no. They were still roaming around in the back of my head.
I was never his, but he would always be mine.
The bench shifted beside me making me slowly look up from my lap. A beautiful young man had sit down beside me, tears streaming down his face too.
I caught myself captivated by his beauty, the light from the windows glistened through his tears, lighting up his face. He sat there with a frown, watching the bride very carefully.
He looked so heartbroken, I knew his pain. His face slowly turned to look at me, a dull expression coving his features.
A soft snort escaped his throat as one of his blonde locks fell in front of his face. He could see my pain, just as I could see his. We knew what each other had been through, without even sharing a single word.
We just felt it.
"Don't cry" he whispered, catching a falling tear from my cheek. His eyes stayed locked with mine, never looking away for even a second.
We had both been through pain, we had both lost someone we thought we could trust, someone we once had loved.
Loud clapping Interrupted my thoughts, sending me out of my drowning trace. His eyes were still on mine, pure sadness covering his expression.
I couldn't be here anymore, I had to go. I quickly got up from my seat and ran out the church, wind blowing in my hair.
Footsteps could be heard from behind me, but I didn't stop running. I ran and ran, until my legs felt like giving out. The cold wind hit my skin, forming goosebumps on my bare arms.
It felt as if everything was moving in slow motion, my feet hitting the warm grass, the tears rolling down my cold cheeks.
I ran across the grass into a field filled with beautiful flowers, getting closer and closer to the ledge. I extended my arms slightly brushing every flower on my way.
A laugh escaped my lips as a tear slowly rolled down my cheek. I suddenly felt a presence behind me, making me look back.
There he was, the guy from the church, dried tears covering his red cheeks. I reached out and grabbed his hand, dragging him along with me.
A bright smile spread across his face, as his hand locked with mine. The sun hit his face so perfectly making his skin a tint orange and his ocean eyes glisten.
There we were, me in a light summer dress, and him in a black suit, running through a flower field.
I didn’t even know his name, nor anything about him, but that didn’t matter. We related to each other, in many more ways than just one, and I knew that just by looking him in the eyes.
His eyes showed all the emotions his actions couldn’t, just like mine.
I looked back to see he wasn’t there anymore, I stopped running and looked around, but he was no where to be seen.
My eyebrows furrowed as I let out a sigh, was he even here or was it just my imagination?
