Ectopic pregnancies are so incredibly serious and life threatening. My mother nearly died from one. A quick Google would have shown Gus how serious it was for Sabrina. The fact he didn't want to get off his ass and go to the hospital for her really tells me all I need to know about his character.

It just sucks so much worse because of how he branded himself as such a morally upright and wholesome guy. It almost made me worried for the truth of Eddy since he branded himself similarly, but I think his willingness to completely cut ties with someone who was such a close friend shows that Eddy actually is genuine in his beliefs

I don't think situations like these should be left private. This isn't a regular break up story. It's an emotional abuse story. Would you tell someone to keep quiet about their partner beating them up? Sabrina almost died because of this. Requesting abuse to stay a secret is just people wanting to pretend like nothing happened, because it's uncomfortable to admit that someone you used to look up to did something horrible. Abuse should always be brought to light, so that abusers are held responsible and other future potential victims are made aware.

it was fcking traumatizing reading the comments made in other videos defending the guy. The majority didn't even come from the pov that "he was emotionally immature" or "was a crappy situation all around" but rather made unsavory comments about Sabrina being "insufferable", "betraying" his trust over the abortion thing, and that she was "weaponizing" her tears. Needless to say, they're his stans and actual misogynists, so that's what's left of his audience...

And to add, she never mentioned Gus by name. She never wanted to rope him into sharing her own experience by directly labeling the partner. Reddit did the "mystery" work and put two and two together, which she obviously never intended for people to do. And THEN Gus outed himself as being the partner with his Twitter apology. Like dude - you're trying to clear the air by letting everyone know at once that you need to publicly step away BECAUSE of it??? This could have been "handled privately" if the apology was actually meant for Sabrina and not for his audience to see he was "apologizing." Idk man, he stirred his own pot đ

Never will understand how someone could say that she was weaponizing her emotions to get back at Gus or looking for attention. The story she told was not about Gus; it was about her. I think it's a shame that the whole thing became about Gus. It's very important for women to share their stories. The minimization of pain is a very real thing that happens to a lot of women. It's important to make this known.

Really glad that you highlighted the healthcare aspect of her video. Sabrina clearly indicated that her goal to raise awareness of how isolating unwanted or unviable pregnancy can be in a culture where women and minorities are underrepresented and underacknowledged in matters of their own health and bodies. She mentions her ex boyfriends gross behavior because it is part of her story about her body and her life. All the internet drama really took us away from that point and pushed her into a "side" of a conflict that she wasn't even trying to start.

Iâm someone who tends to be really cautious about parasocial relationships with creators (Iâm an ex Onision fanâ that expirence taught me A LOT), and I was really surprised by how much this whole situation affected me. I was so SO angry for Sabrina (which I think is warranted, as most women can understand her experience) but I was also justâŚcrushingly disappointed by Gus. Like genuinely sad and justâŚwell disappointed is the best word I have for it. He felt safe. He felt goofy and kind and caring, âboys support boysâ and all that, and it gave me yet another big shakeup in comfort with people on the internet even though I was already being conscious about it. Just such a shitty situation and heâs such a disgusting person.

i hate half assed fake "i'm becoming a better person" kind of apologies. i've been in a situation where i was being a shitty abusive person and i took months and months correcting every aspect of that so i wouldn't lose more people in my life. now, with these manipulators using the whole "i'm getting therapy and i'm sorry for what i did i was in a bad place blah blah blah" sounds like bullshit. so it's hard for people who have actually changed to have people really believe that they have. moral of the story: admit you're a bad person and what you did was shitty, don't expect forgiveness and last but not least. actually try to be better.

And itâs still so sad cuz not only Gus but also he medical workers didnât believe her. If she is crying over pain itâs clearly not just something to take Tylenol over. Itâs so sad that women arenât believed when it comes to medical issues and this is just a prime example of a woman almost dying cuz of other peopleâs ignorance

The first information I got on anything regarding this was that the ice pack video that Gus posted was a jab at Sabrina and I was like âthat sounds like such a reachâ but after watching Sabrinaâs video in full idk how he could have came back with that video. Like is he psychotic or just a complete tone depth idiot??

Man, people need to understand how goddamn helpless you'd feel if your life depended on the care of people who gaslight you and completely ignore your symptoms when you're in agony, and not only that, but your main source of comfort and support couldn't give two shits about supporting you in a stressful situation and gaslights you some more. Jfc I would've kicked him in the balls repeatedly.

This is a wonderfully measured take on the situation and I couldn't agree more. My heart is broken as a former fan of Gus' but I'm mainly heartbroken for Sabrina and what she suffered and secondarily Eddy for having to lose a friend and find out he was lied to for so long in such a public setting with everyone watching him. I hope they can take some time to heal. New subscriber BTW. đ

Her video was about more than just the medical system failing women. Itâs about how misogynistic culture leaves many women with no where to turn to. Other women are conditioned to dismiss feminine pain. Her own boyfriend dismissed it too. This isnât uncommon among women and other people with uteruses even if itâs not the most common experience
