I'm Italian, I must admit I love this series.. any single photogram seems studied and the cinematography Is perfect. It brings you in the history of Italy and its 60's. Caravaggio, Fiat 1100, Mina, the refrigetor "Zoppas". There are no mistakes.. . There must have been a lot of work behind this masterpiece.

It was suspenseful in the beginning but the story lost its logic half way. It is vital that the police department gets a photo of the person they are looking for or investigating.
When inspector Ravini was asking about Frederick, he had a picture of him but when he looked for Tom, he did not. If the excuse was there was no photo of Tom,then a drawing should have been developed. That's what investigators do. It was ridiculous of the inspector to have his own picture in the newspaper when the article was about a missing person. Having said that, if the story followed the actual police protocol, then nothing after episode 5 could have happened.

I have to say that although cinematography is great, the suspense is slow and the casting aside from Andrew is awful. Marge and Dickie especially - so boring. I actually rooted for Tom to get away from the murders not because he did an awful thing but because these people were boring him to death with their privilege, shallowness and no appreciation for luxury.

The cinematography is beautiful. The black and white adds so much more intensity to the series I love it.
