These are among the most legendary soundtracks in history because of one thing: They all have prominent melodies/themes that you always associate directly with the film upon hearing it. The sad truth is that nowadays, most modern soundtracks rely on simple chords and/or repetition of 3 or 4 notes. Although this may make viewers focus more on the film itself, I believe that it removes a vitally important part of the experience as a whole.

John Williams and Hand Zimmer made several fantastic soundtracks, but I love Howard Shore more because his music for The Lord of the Rings could not get any better. Listening to it compared to other soundtracks feels like looking at a ring then looking at The One Rings. It just has so much soul put into it. Instead of the classic generic hero theme the Fellowship theme wasn't created the same way most hero themes are. It just feels different I can't quiet explain. And also Minas Morgul has some of the generic screech noises but it wasnt focused around those it has so much more than just how it was played, and Sauron's theme isn't just a generic evil theme it's based off of Dies Imrae "Day of Wrath" and Gondor and Rohan both had so much put into them. God I love these movies so much.

39:35 I used to listen to the Spiderman theme at the start of every workout. It was my first motivational workout song. I was about 18 when I worked out on my own for the first time, and I was able to get my sleepy butt out of bed at 7am and be excited because it meant I could start listening to this song. All I had was a set of 5lb hand weights left behind by my older brother, but I used them and then did pushups and crunches and felt SO cool. My parents probably got tired of hearing that song come out of my room so often, but they never said anything about it. Anyway...lately I've been working out to the Tomb Raider soundtrack, but I think it's time to bring Spidey back.
