Of all of Zimmer's music, "Time" from Inception will always be his best work to me. The depth of pure emotional power that descends on the mind during the ending crescendo is unlike any other musical work I've ever heard. Zimmer is a great musical mind, no doubt, but the simple crescendo/de-crescendo that is "Time" will always stand above his other works as the defining piece that proves that music is the physical embodiment of emotion.
