Wow, I had a baby several months after Halsey and I can NOT imagine doing a smidgen of what they did!! I was sick my entire pregnancy. Plus all of the fucked up and strange emotions was all so terrifying. I wouldn't allow myself to get excited bc I had this overwhelming fear of dread that I wasn't going to make it (being it was a super SUPER high risk pregnancy). Of course, I kept that all to myself because I wanted my angel baby more than anything. My girl is the epitome of strength. Stronger than her mama. After a month, we were finally reunited and I haven't let her out of my sight since.
It's amazing how Halsey was able to string together that cacophony of emotions into these ornate songs. THEN breathed even more life into the words and music with fantastical and amazingly vivid visuals. What an embodiment of drive and talent Halsey is.

I’m so happy she had her support system there with throughout this whole experience, from the nurse, to the crew, to fellow actors and her family. The whole movie is surreal and amazingly breathtaking, yet so brutally honest in its portrayal of what it means to be a women, have female autonomy, be pregnant and the scary parts of life that no one ever truly speaks on. So awesome!!! As a young mother (26) who just had my second baby in November, I appreciate this perspective so much! Usually only the happy, preppy, perfect, aspects of pregnancy are spoken about, when, like Halsey says, "its one of the most dangerous things a person can go through". Thank you for sharing this behind the scenes! I really wanted to see how the heck she did all this pregnant! Amazing job and dedication to the art! This film and the album turned out to be quite a solace for mother's to go to to feel more understood and be able to embrace all the power that comes to a women when they endure this transition that is motherhood! i CAN NOT believe or comprehend how on earth they handled all of this at once. working so so much while trying to protect the baby, being pregnant and therefore having your body act up, making an album AND a movie and having to be in a creative mindset while being exhausted, collabing with your idols and aaaall the emotions that come with such huge projects and life changes. like how does someone handle all of that at once mentally and physically AND come up with such incredibly beautiful and meaningful and amazing outcomes. how.
