I started to listen to Grizzly Bear because Jonny Greenwood once stated that they were amidst his favorite bands of all time: best decision of the year so far.

Fuck you guys touch me sooo fucking deeply it hurt sometimes. It's so painful I can barely bare to hear it. I've been a musician and obsessed with music since I was a child 25 years ago and I think Grizzly Bear touches me more deeply than anything I've ever experienced. Any music, any waterfall, any kiss, any death, any ocean or journey. Anything.

Lyrics Yet again we're the only ones No surprise, this is often how it's done Lately it's about all I can take I will move and mend and mold this break Shell with another crack I'm small but I can keep track Too soon, everyone just step away I'm sure this isn't the last play Take it all in stride Speak, don't confide We barely had a case It's done before we try Stop and end by night A desert in your face Take score, even playing fields this game I know when all's said we're the same If I could I would leave it all be No chance to move backwards and see Take it all in stride Speak, don't confide We barely had a case It's done before we try Stop and end by night A desert in your face Take it all in stride Speak, don't confide We barely had a case It's done before we try Stop and end by night A desert in your face Songwriters: Christopher M. Taylor / Christopher Robert Bear / Daniel Raphael Rossen / Edward Droste Yet Again lyrics © Kobalt Music Publishing Ltd.

How in the name of God are their videos not getting more hits? Shields is fantastic. Grizzly Bear is one of the best pop bands left.

I'm so glad I got to see a few of these album tours live before they moved on. I can't blame any artist for wanting to pursue their next journey. They left us with some amazing things to enjoy. I appreciate their stated mindset that they are just doing other things and there's still a chance that could lead to coming back together.

This makes sense to me on some fundamental level, but I feel like I can't share it with the people I know because they don't understand the soul-abducting pain of addiction. I won't say the song is about that; I think it's vague enough to resonate to several themes, but that's almost all I know.

I met Grizzly Bear in 2009 with MTV Lab Now (Brazilian TV show), which for me was the best clip channel, even though it was already on the verge of decadence at that time. Grizzly's melancholy vibe bought me I had a difficult adolescence, no one I knew listened to this and to avoid being bullied I listened in secret. Today, 13 years older, my musical taste follows the culture of each state I'm going to live in, but I carry in my chest sounds like this band and I only show it to audiences who appreciate the genre.
