Star Wars The Acolyte will be Disney's attempt to kickstart a new Star Wars era in live action. But as Amandla Stenberg was specifically chosen to lead the show, with The Acolyte being designed for the actress before she was even contacted by Disney. The question is why? What was it about Amandla that Leslye Headland thought was so important. The interviews are eye opening, the kind of activism that would make Rachel Zegler blush and have to steady herself on the couch. With this being the history that The Acolyte was made to showcase, it's not looking good for the High Republic show in my opinion. But what do you think?
