for me, lunchbox friends isn't exactly friends that are fake and plastics. i think it's the kind of the "situational" friends, that they are just there because of a situation. you are friends because they had no choice, because you are the only one who is there. they gonna ask you to come with them during breaktimes, CR and makeup breaks, PE pairings but the truth is when you are both outside the school room you are so disconnected.
