As someone with social anxiety and socially awkward, this is what I need because I really need to work on my conversation skills. I don’t even know what to talk about most of the time, and always having those awkward silences, making us feel uncomfortable. I look at other people who are great conversationalists and they’re so comfortable in their own skin making it look as if they’re good friends with everyone they meet.

Some time ago a person I barely met strated a conversation with me, and at the beggining it went surprisingly well (I'm kinda bad at talking with ppl unless I get to know them), but then they started asking these questions, like about my personal values and beliefs, and I completely freaked out and kept saying 'I don't know' 😭
I hate smalltalk, but these questions are too personal for me, especially as a conversation starter. I guess I struggle with talking about myself... I mean, give me 2 days to think about "what challenge made me grow" and then I'll give you an answer 😅

As a depressed person that prioritises someone else’s emotions, this gave me advice to people which I suspect to have a mental illness. I plan on becoming a psychotherapist when I grow up. For now, I’m only 15.
