Hey Peter, its been a minute since I've left a comment on our videos but I wanted to say that I am so happy that you've been able to get this far in life. I'm so proud of you for your journey in recovery and want to let you know that you've inspired me and helped me in mine. While watching this, I've been reminded about all of the times that I've come up against haters and really wanting to defend myself. My sponsor would always tell me on my late night phone calls "hurt people hurt people" and then we would say the serenity prayer. AND THEN literally as I'm writing this you say the slogans that m sponsor would say to me during those phone calls as well. If I can impart something my sponsor would quote to me, "The People Who Mind Don't Matter and The People Who Matter Don't Mind." which comes form Dr. S.
I hope to one day be able to travel and hopefully hit up a meeting with you cause I think that would be so dope.

I also agree with you about the people being weird for hate watching. I’ve seen the discussions these people have with each other. They act as if someone’s twisting their arms to watch each & every video of yours. They’re like “oh here we go, let’s see what Peter has to say today 🙄” like girl, ain’t nobody forcing you to watch his videos. Y’all are just causing yourself unnecessary misery by continuing to seek out this man’s content. Be a normal adult & watch someone you enjoy watching. Such juvenile mentality. They are literally paying your bills with each view. It just makes them look more foolish. It’s giving “I HATE YOU BUT IM GOING TO PAY YOUR BILLS!” These people are probably the kind of adults who still stomp off pouting & slam their bedroom door when they are upset.

The thing these people have to realize is that you have the right to speak and I feel like someone trying to silence you from expressing your opinion, and you should never be made to to feel that way this is what you do for a living and I love hearing your perspective on these types of issues. It helps me learn from another person’s perspective and I appreciate that.

I don’t watch every video you post, but I always come back to you because you have such an incredible spirit and I love listening to you talk. I might not be in the loop on the people or events you talk about, but I really value your opinion. You make me laugh- you’re so funny and quick witted! And you’re also so good at bringing things back to what matters most. It’s also so incredibly nice to have a creator to turn to who talks so openly about their sobriety journey. You’ve created an incredible community here, Peter.
It really angers me for you and for all affected by what happened that a group of people are so willing to make all your lives harder. It’s demented behavior. It’s cruel, it’s sick, it’s twisted. And you are so valid to feel how you’ve felt. You’ve made it clear you’re someone who values what others say and who takes criticism to heart- which I believe is a real strength. But some really nasty people are using it to their advantage. I do think speaking on it publicly feeds into it and encourages them, unfortunately. And I imagine some will continue their harassment even if you never talk about it again. Just know you have a strong community who loves and supports you. Do whatever you need to do for your mental health, Peter. Journal, therapy, calling them out, taking a break. Whatever it is, you’ve got people in your corner. 🫶

The people who are obsessed with the accident don’t actually care about it they just want to bully you. That’s why no matter what you say, no matter what proof you have, they don’t care. Honestly, even though I do skip these videos, I think you’re handling them as best you can and if you need to make one of these a week so be it.
