Here are my thoughts and theories: I noticed that as well when I had made it to this part in the game. Whenever he had climbed up out the sewage/storm drain, Mono proceeds to take off his Paper Bag Hat as the Thin Man arises in the background. As the Thin Man arrives close by Mono, YOU controlling Mono, have to mimic what the Thin Man is doing. This is foreshadowing and giving you the player the idea: 'Is Mono stronger than the Thin Man?' (At least this is what I had thought). You proceed to mimic and power down the Thin Man three times before the buildings straighten out and Mono goes up to the Signal Tower. - I also noticed that when you complete the Reflection areas/puzzles, and suddenly come across the Music Box in the middle of the room and Demonic Six on the Left handed side. As you proceed to walk towards the Music Box, Six moves over quickly and gets very protective over this. If you do this twice and venture towards the left, you do in fact see Six's suitcase from the first opening scene of Little Nightmares I. I can't remember clearly but I think there was no photographs taped in the inside of that suitcase as there is two photos in LN1 (one featuring herself). If you remember clearly, Six has a dream/nightmare of The Lady when wakes up and gasps very loudly in the first game. If you think about it in LNII: we the players see a intro very similar to the first game as Six has a nightmare of The Lady. This time in LNII, we see this door that is symbolic through out the whole game, which we later find out it is Mono who is the Thin Man. I do have more comments and theories from this game but have not put it into word form yet. I do in fact loves these games and would love to have a open mind to anyone's theories! I have never played Very Little Nightmares so I will be lost on this until I have played it. - Adding on to this: there is a Little Nightmares II Trailer where it had flashbacks when they were crossing the bridge! - I rather thought it was strange that we were controlling Mono through the whole game and Six was able to see BOTH, Mono and The Thin Man (which is rather the same person). I believe what we were seeing was Mono's Flashbacks or someone is controlling what we were able to see, which leads back to The Thin Man. He has the ability to mind control individuals, transform, and go through different realities. - Another detail I kept seeing throughout the game was The Thin Man's hat throughout LNII and LNI. After I had finished playing through the second game, I continued and started playing the first game once more. (I may be stretching here but oh well), The Janitor has the same exact hat as the Thin Man. AND this hat was featured through the whole first game as well. - And when the TVs would turn on, there was black particles coming off of Mono. If you think about it, it's the same particles when Six kills The Lady and posses The Guests souls.

I honestly hope they make more of these games. They are so enjoyable and terrifying. Although I still think mono should have deserved a happier ending. I mean surely the thin man (future mono) would want to save him rather then chasing him. Anyway, with all of that said i think this is a great game and I hope the make a 3rd installment

After the way Six betrayed Mono like that, I can never see her the same way again. But in the wiki of Little Nightmares, it was confirmed that Six betrayed Mono to save him from her devouring him due to her hunger. But still... that was downright awful. That ending had me heartbroken for Mono and angry at Six. I feel that Mono deserved a better ending after all that he did for Six, how he went out of his way to save her twice; From the Hunter's home and the Bullies that kidnapped her in the school. And then there's the question about distorted Six. Was she always able to transform like that? Or was it because she was trapped in the Abyss? Is it her hunger that makes her transform? What is so special about the music box? Why is it the only thing that seems to calm her? And why would she have a need to go to the Maw if she's trying to escape from it? It just doesn't make sense to me. Furthermore, as it was confirmed, Six is no ordinary child. In one of the theory videos I've watched from another YouTuber named GamingBeaver, he theorized that after Six eats something, or someone, she absorbs their essence. Think about it. After Six devoured the Runaway Kid, aka the helpful Gnome, she knew how to use the mirror against the Lady. Just like after she defeated the Lady, she devoured her and absorbed her power. In my opinion, I feel like Little Nightmares 2 was really good and a good game to play. I love the storyline, but was saddened by the ending. I wish we had more information about Six and her hunger, and again, Mono deserved a better ending than the one he was given.

This is literally exactly what o was thinking about, word for word, from mono being stuck in the loop because of being left in the signal tower that controls time and space. To the reasoning behind the betrayal to whether LN2 is a prequel or sequel..I’ve tried to explained this theory so many times after doing my own research about the second game...But rest assured we know for a fact that a loop is at play here in this story..I’m still unsure if the loop goes beyond the boundaries (to the point where it ties into the first game and so forth) but a loop is definitely there...The game from the very beginning was already give us a hint as to why their may be a loop...From him constantly trying to open that door in the hallway after entering threw TVs has mono progressed,to the opening of the game to be mono dreaming about the hallway with the door..It all adds up into this looping paradox that was most likely caused do to the power of the signal tower and the power of the abyss..For all we know mono has been probably going threw the same outcome for thousands of times...Having to witness being betrayed over and over again...I hope he’s able to crack the loop open and return to the regular reality

Yeah the mannequin parts gave me legit chills throughout. The tension when they’d chase you as you looked away. Some weeping angel type stuff!

Not my theory but I wanted to share it because it's awesome theory: the "monster" like the lady in the maw, and the worker like the janitor and chefs are normal children that have grown up So mono gets betrayed and now he sits and grows up then he waits for the door to be opened to have his revenge But there's a reason why six betrayed mono in the first place You see the moment you open the door grown up mono actually goes for six when he does get six he tortures six until she grew up or for many years, as you can see "monster" six have her legs broken and she's very stressed and scared Unlike other "monster" she doesn't go for you/try to kill you So by taking her revenge she created another revenge and when mono takes his revenge he also created another revenge So six betrayed mono and mono takes his revenge but actually, six doesn't betray mono but takes her revenge So if six didn't betray/takes her revenge on mono none of this would happen or vice versa

8:46 But isn't the Thin Man stuck behind the door? Also, if the Thin Man is Mono, then wouldn't his main objective be to stop Mono from going with Six? I just wonder. . . what if those aren't just glitched kids, but other versions of MONO who the Thin Man caught? Mono began in the forest area by a teleivision set, but he didn't have the ability to use his teleporting until he opened the Thin Man's door, and started this whole chase sequence in the first place. The only explaination I can think of, is that the Thin Man put's Mono back at the forest EVERY TIME he catches him. Hoping to delay or even change Mono's fate with Six. Think this theory holds water?

The time loop theory is a really good one and I think it’s that or a theory that Little Nightmares 2 is a prequel regardless of what the devs said. Many things point towards it, like Six finding her signature raincoat again randomly, implying that’s the first time she gets it, unless that specific raincoat was mass produced or something lol. Also we see shadow six look at the poster of the maw and Six gets hungry. While this could imply that’s where the next game/event will be it ALSO implies that the maw is where she’ll satiate her hunger as she did in the first game.

Yo, I appreciate it man, I was kinda upset with the ending and the secret ending but you brought some ideas like that six could've known he was the thin man, or six was saving him from herself, or another possibility that she could've been holding a grudge for mono destroying her toy, anyway this is an awesome game and I hope they find some other ways to extend on the story.

In the first game Shadow Six can been seen when Six eats, and Shadow Six was created when the Thin Man abducted Six. Shadow People can been seen throughout the second game, these seem to be people the Thin Man abducted and a remnant of their soul seems to be left in the real world. It doesn’t make sense that Shadow Six would still exist if she was rescued from the Thin Man? Something doesn’t add up for me, I don’t think all of Six was rescued. I think that Mono, in trying to save her Split her soul, I think Shadow Six needs to reunite with Six in order for her soul to become full again. This could explain why she’s always hungry as her soul being split makes her weak and eating living things like the Rat, the Gnome and the Lady could give her more strength than regular food. Eating the Lady at the end could have made her full again, but it could have also put a bit of the Lady’s soul in hers giving her a Split personality after she leaves the Maw. There’s also the theory of time travel within the little nightmares universes. I think that Six after leaving the Maw could have headed to the Thin Man, one side of her wanting more power and the other trying to save Mono, that’s why she was so hesitant. I’ve thought about this for the past day, I refuse to believe that Six would have dropped Mono after everything they went through, I think after considering the first game as well, that Six’s soul was Split in two and using the Thin Man and the realm at the end you’re able to Travel through time, and I think she went back to Save Mono but the evil side of her soul (the lady) went to harness more power or maybe even knowledge while Shadow Six is the other part of Six’s soul, left unfound by Mono in the realm of the Thin Man, creating an endless time loop. I know that Shadow Six meets Six in a secret ending but I think they have to come together within the realm of the Thin Man. After seeing Shadow Six I think Six is required to go to the Maw again in order to restart the time loop, but in doing so only makes the Lady more powerful because she’s harnessing more and more of her soul so it’s a win for the Lady and a constant struggle for Six. I really 100% refuse to believe that Six would let Mono die, she’s killed two main characters now and I 100% refuse to believe it was Six’s intentions, I think someone else was partially controlling her or influencing her.

Maybe the guy with the suit is mono from the future trying to stop his past self from helping six, and to prevent six in betraying him/mono. And the color of the room where mono is sitting represent mono's love for six, i think the story tells the heart breaking story of mono.

When mono is betrayed by six, he creates a world with an endless time loop. Going through the gameplays, six becomes more increasingly evil. At the end of little nightmares 1, six bites into the lady taking her powers. She then uses these powers to go through a series of new monsters to eventually take mono head on and break the time loop in little nightmares 3…. Just my theory… I also think maybe mono created this world because he now hates kids because of his betrayal by six. Hence, the reason why there are so many dead children and why they are being eaten.

* I am reposting a few of my thoughts and theories into this here so you are able to read it better. * - As you play through Chapter 1&2, Mono is always the one to lead throughout the puzzles. Whenever Mono and Six first enter Chapter 3 (The Hospital / Asylum) and push through the doors, Six instantly grabs Mono. I continuously kept thinking, "Why did Six grab him so quickly like that?". Shortly after, Six rushes through the beds puzzles, leading the way and leaving Mono behind which is quite different compared to the beginning. - During Chapter 3 before you meet (as I have called him) Dr.BigBooty, Mono and Six come across a wall of masks. If you look at these masks, they are very similar to the ones that the Twin Chefs have on in LNI. In LNI, even The Guests have the same facial structure as the ones displayed on the wall in LNII. [My belief in LNI: Somehow, The Guests are sent to The Maw to be fed enormously amounts of food till they die or The Lady wipes their Soul and uses their masks for other purposes.] - When Mono is fighting against The Thin Man at @13:16, I kept dying as I was just holding RT. I'm not sure if you did it as I did but I had held RT and using Left Analog Stick. These motions actually MIMICKED The Thin Man! I was beyond shocked as I had done it on my fourth try as I kept dying and this surprisingly worked. This is why I stated the one question running through my head through this scene: "Is Mono stronger than The Thin Man?", "Is Mono The Thin Man?", "Why did Mono take off his Paper Bag to go against him?" - Another MAJOR detail I have saw throughout the game is look at the times Mono interacts with the TVs: For the first TV interaction Mono has, go to @5:37 in this clip or play for yourself again. Do you see how Mono's body looks? TV Static lines. For the second TV interaction Mono has go to @6:47 in this clip again, and what do you see? TV Static lines. For the third TV interaction Mono has go to @8:27 in this clip once more, and what do you see? TV Static lines. (This is a stretch once more, oh well) but to me, is Mono a hologram? - Another detail I have realized is that every time Mono had a interaction with The TV, Six would be nowhere near him nor the TV. As soon as Mono gets close to The Door, Six is right beside Mono. (Possible stretch here also), I do have the thoughts that Six is only showing Mono limited segments till they have reached a certain point. During the third interaction with the TV, I kept asking myself (as I had kept dying), but: why would Six hide underneath the table while Mono hides below the bed? She knows that he is dangerous but why would she hide in such a easy spot for The Thin Man to spot her? Another detail here is that Six reaches out for Mono but he had his head downwards, not making facial contact with Six or The Thin Man. At this point now, I believe Mono knows what he has done (since he Is The Thin Man). And I finally have the conclusion to myself that Six had remembered when Mono had not helped her, therefore Six lets go of his hand towards the end @10:47. - As Mono lands from Six letting go of his hand, He is now in this (as OP stated) Abyss of Organs. As Mono ventures through towards the left or right, a light is shown with a Chair. You control Mono to go in that chair and he sits down. Once He does this, The Abyss of Organs surrounds him with multiple sets of eyes, meaning he is constantly being watched. As soon as this scenes transitions to as he grows older signifying that Mono has been here for numerous amount of years. If you also look at the colorful aura surrounding Mono. When he is a child, it is The Abyss of Organs which he puts his hands on his head. After this here, The Organs disappeared and the aura was bright pink, then soft pink, dark to light purple and light to dark blue. My other question is: "Where did Mono get The Hat from if he has been in this tower for years? Did Mono escape before? Did someone visit him throughout time?". I do have the thoughts that someone has let Mono out before and they had returned back to the TV, hence the ending OR The Thin Man was wiring our thoughts to show us HIS storyline and Memories. - What's crazy to me is that there was The Abyss of Organs but shortly after, it had cleared away and it was just a bare room. Was it Mono's thoughts consuming him? Was Mono having Nightmares? Was The Signal Tower distorting his memory? - ** You all need to go watch "The Secrets of The Maw" again. You must pay attention to the fine details in these games. - There is a puzzle where you must identify which photographs you have seen throughout the game (or just the DLC). Once you go in and look at the photographs showcased, you'll press the button and a light brightens up the photo. There is a photo of The Teacher from LNII that is not displayed through the (game or DLC, I may not remember this clearly) and is one of the two unmarked photos. - The Lady simply shows us that she needs her mask because otherwise, the unaffected mirror shows her true beauty. As I replayed this scene, The Runaway Kid makes in the The Lady's Lair and sees her obsessing over her face and screams very loudly. I believe the glass from the mirror breaks and it is complete silence (I may not be 100% correct here). The Lady's real face in a perfect mirror looked incredibly similar to the Doctor's wall collections of masks or skin collections. The Lady must be one of the Doctor's patients in the past, present and or future. This is a hard call to make here. - "The Resident" DLC featuring The Runaway Kid, as you play him rather than Six. What we see here during the time that The Runaway Kid is in The Lady's Lair, she puts him in a frozen moment of time. She raises The Runaway Kid in the air and turns him into a Nome. Do keep in mind that all these Nomes throughout the game were once ALL Children. This whole chapter in the DLC alerts everyone that these Children once kidnapped and brought here to The Maw. The Lady turns these Children who tried to escape The Maw into Nomes. These Nomes were then used to function The Maw (enslavement). - Towards the beginning of LNII, you do see one little Nome who runs out for you. You must follow it and The Nome will guide you through the darkness to later reveal a collectible Nome Hat. As I am laying down now thinking: "Why is there only one Nome throughout Little Nightmares II that we do help out with? Why is this little Nome doing in The Hunter's Attic? Maybe this little Nome escaped with Six from The Maw, and the Nome had to be disbanded simply because Six was in the basement?" Other than that one interaction, we don't see anymore Nomes throughout Pale City, but we do in fact see the same drawings from The Maw about the Nomes.
