Great video, there is nothing like a perfect marriage or relationship, I learnt that in everything there is always a solution, 5 years ago I and my wife divorced because we were having some difficulties in our marriage but we are back together ,it was a really bad phase but we got through it..

When they barely even know you, you're the greatest thing ever, it's weird, you think, what is this? It's so obviously fake
But if they keep trying, and somehow find a way into your life, most likely at a vulnerable moment- well then, after constant abuse, when you start showing obvious signs of all of the abuse, you get "what happened to you!?!" from the very person who.abused you. "All I did was ignore your boundaries, insult you, use you, humiliate you, and play all sorts of stupid, childish games on you - why aren't you the same exact person you were when you weren't being abused daily?" What a joke.

I felt kind of loved as a child once a month, when the report card came in. My sister was always compared to me and today we're totally estranged. My mother used to collect all my straight A's report cards and pins I got for spelling bees and being on top of my class and kept them in a binder. Everyone who visited our home had to sit with my mother and go through that binder. I can only imagine how delightful it was for them. The rest of the time we were ignored, beaten (specially my sister) or belittled. Later in life my over achieving has nearly cost me my life and my sanity. I remember cleaning out my parents house after they passed and finding that rotten binder and hating it so much. It went straight to the trash.

Just discovered your channel. Thank you for sharing your content. 18 years into marriage and just realizing I’m married to a covert narcissist. She’s waiting for me to sign divorce papers. I’ve been trying to stall to “get her to stay” but now I see the truth. I’ll never see her change. So, it’s time to sign those papers ✅

What narcissists can't stand is when someone is put on a pedestal instead of them. And not just that, but any favorable distinction. The funniest was my ex, who, when entrusted with some relative's little girl, made a scene because during a walk the girl held my hand, not hers. Even a year later she bring up that I bought the little girl a more expensive slice of cake than to her. I had to invite her for an identical slice of cake - a year later!! - to calm her down. Tragicomic. I don't even understand myself why I didn't leave earlier.

The most cruel scenario is when a child keeps doing what the narc parents want in hope of one day being rewarded, as it happened once in the past. But the reward does not come. However, punishment comes then you fail to do what they want. So you keep giving up on yourself, your life choices even as an adult in fear of being severely punished. Then the problem with conflicting views of both parents who have often different expectations from the child and the child gets often punished anyways. A real nightmare I used to live in ...
