The Giant’s locker room afterwards must have been a fun place to be.

So he intercepts the ball, leaves the endzone, goes back in for an intentional safety? Then his own teammate tackles him and fumbles him?? And then the other team picked the ball up to win the game. What the fuck did I just watch.

The play basically ended two careers before it started. They were both rookies. Tackler - Golden ended up playing minimally across his rookie contract and got 20 tackles for his career. Lewis didn’t even make the team partly due to this. According to Golden, the coaches highlighted “game situation awareness” the entire week and well… the rookies got chewed out for messing up something that they specifically walked through during the week.

For those wondering, the tackling player wanted his teammate to go down and not risk taking the ball out of the end zone. Then he made a split-second boneheaded play.

In no situation should you ever tackle your own teammate. Unless you bet against your team.

There’s a simple explanation to why he tackled his teammate. It didn’t go as planned tho.

Sounds like what happens to the Detroit Lions every time they play Dallas Cowboys. The ref's always make sure that Dallas wins. Hard not to believe the NFL doesn't have their hands in on the outcome.

Nah, that's just the Giants doing Giants things. I've been watching this team forever and this isn't even the most ridiculous thing they've done.

Teammate wanted him to get down to avoid a fumble or safety. Didn't end well, obviously.
