I've been in that before, I'm Type 1 myself. I didn't know I was Type 1 at that time. I lost 20 pounds, I was drinking a lot, using the latrine a lot and I was tired all the time. One week I just got so sick, and my family rushed me to the local ED, my BGL was so high that the machine at the ED couldn't read it. I was put onto a medevac and taken to Children's and last thing I remember before I was out cold was the flight medic putting her jacket over me. I was 15 at that time, that was 4 years ago.
