add more spices: whatever makes up 5 spice powder (star anise fennel seeds sichuan peppercorn cloves cinnamon) put in a sachet and add it taste way better. also id recommend caramelizing the sugar before adding water for the pork to have a nicer color

If I could cook half the stuff max has made in the last 4 shorts, I would either be a world class chef or have world class cholesterol problems. Edit: if this comment gets to 150 likes I will buy a pack of max’s jerky and convince my dad to try it with me. (Assuming I can find him again). Edit: since I have now gotten the correct amount of likes, I shall fufill my promise to you all and buy the jerky. Once I get my grubby little hands on it, I will post a video on my yt channel with the jerky and me eating it.
