I had an epiphany today, and as a precursor to another Kickstarter campaign, I'm excited to announce that I'll be starting a **FREE coding school for game dev**! This school will focus on **C++, OpenGL, Visual Studio Community Free Edition**, and related libraries that have been featured in my most viewed videos.

**My main goal** is to reach out to the community and educate my viewers to do what I do: getting coders started on their own game engines and, ultimately, their games as well!

To that end, I will be **reviving my Discord** for community conversations, sharing, and more. Once I feel more confident as an educator, and as I continue to develop this while working full-time, I will also be working towards my next Kickstarter campaign. This campaign will aim to fund not just a game studio, but an **educational studio** as well... hey, an **educational game studio**!

I wish I could post a schedule for when these things will come about, but I'm giving all my time and energy to what supports me most: my full-time job at McDonald's. However, my spare time and hobby time will be dedicated to working towards this educational game studio!

Update on the headphones and mic, the headphones started working again... perhaps I had the volume turned way down for some reason... anyways, streaming is back to normal.

My headphone/mic combo just broke, and the microphone works, but the headphones do not, I will need to buy new, but probably not until next week sometime, but luckily I need to go to town tomorrow or the next day so... in the meantime, I might troubleshoot using my speakers with the mic, but that's awkward sounding I believe, so... (ALSO: I tested and the mic works, and I can just listen to music with my sound bar, and it seems fine, but I'm still going to try and get to walmart to buy new headphone/mic combo). Update on where my channel is at, and status of streaming and game dev. So, the space trader with voxel worlds is still my main focus, there are other projects, but the main thing is my income, and I wanted to let you all know that I'm working full time at a local McDonald's, and have been since mid-February. And since fixing a lot of my debt issues with a full time job, I'm going to continue to work full time until game dev or graphics-based art (which are both hobbies) makes any decent money. I do have plans to cut back to 4 days a week, maybe 3 for a while, but for now, it's full time. That being said, I do have plans to re-try a kickstarter, and re-try on patreon, ko-fi could probably use a bit of attention, as they might have new features and things too. Anyways, thanks for the support, the channel is growing faster than ever, and streaming is becoming easier, more intuitive, and seems more like a natural part of my game dev process. Now get out there and make games! ... oh and have fun doing it, and don't quit your day job!

I just wanted to thank everyone for watching, super glad to get over 1k subs to the youtube channel. Also, just wanted to say thanks for having patience with me these days, as working full time at McDonald's is taking all of my energy... literally, but it's worth it, I'm paying my bills. I wish that coding and game dev did that, but for now, I'll take it, as I work with some great people. Anyways, I will try to get back on the coding train here soon, always thinking about what to do next with the Space Trader, it seems like the 3D Terrain demo, which I just added the twitch chat integration stuff, is the new Space Trader, but we'll see..... Thanks again for the amazing support, you all rock!

Ok, so my last few streams trying to get ImGUI to render to an off-screen buffer so I can store the results on a texture... I mean, there's probably a way to do it, but think about it: ImGUI is meant for interaction specifically, so rendering to anything but the default framebuffer / renderbuffer doesn't make sense, so I'm going with my custom bitmap font class to text and statistics rendering and ImGUI for any interaction with the player / user. I will probably be streaming in a few minutes as I can start working on the space stations now that I've figured that out, in addition to getting back to my normal space trader game dev after the minor distraction of the pirateSoftware game jam, where I didn't submit a game, but made a prototype for 3D terrain with perlin noise (octaves of noise even...) so there's that...
