Phew! It's been a while (read a solid year) since I've uploaded any new content. Honestly, it got too hard for me to try to film and work, since all my filming had to be handheld. But...
I'm making a come back!
For now, my comeback will be primarily YouTube Shorts, comprised of the little snippets of our days I've captured with my phone. However, I do have plans to come back with some longer form video soon.
So, if you're still here after a year of crickets from me - thank you for sticking around! I truly appreciate your graciousness and presence!
Grateful for you!

Funny story...
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Yesterday, I totally thought I was recording Mr. FFB explaining to Ten what a “dry cow” is and how to spot one. Turns out I was just pointing my phone at them while they conversed, not recording. 🤦♀️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I did however get this photo of them talking about something completely different, so there’s that. 😅
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And in case you were wondering, a “dry cow” is one who is not raising a calf. She has no milk, therefore she’s dry.

I’m not gunna lie to you, friends, I’ve been a bag of mixed emotions here lately.
Tune in tonight at 5 MDT to find out why.

Spoiler alert...
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There are no days off in ranching.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Today, on my “day off from the ranch to work on FFB projects,” I put out mineral, put a stray cow then her calf away, moved a bull to the correct pasture, made a herd health check, and picked up and moved a solar all before noon.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ranching - even when you're off, you're on.

"Before sin came into the world, God offered us work. Work was never a curse. Hard work - there is so much joy and purity and sacredness to good hard work. And so, we don't have to treat it like 'can't wait to be done with this.' Good work is good work."
I love, love, love this @AnnieFDownsTSF quote as heard on her That Sounds Fun Podcast! I feel this to my bones being called to care for His land and livestock.
What hard work brings you joy?

Guess who's back, back again.
FFB's back, tell a friend.
After a crazy-busy, no-time-to-film spring/summer, we're back with a brand new video. Check it out and be sure to leave a comment and let us know how we did!
Best,

This last month has been a bit crazy. That is for sure.
Tune in tomorrow morning at 6:00 a.m. MDT to find out how Covid 19 has changed life here on the ranch.
In the meantime, how have you been holding up through the this time of social distancing?

The conversation around the breakfast table the other morning turned to the chicks we ordered in January that were to arriving that day. We discussed all that we had to get ready and I gave a rundown of all the breeds I’d picked.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When I got to the brown leghorns, Mr. FFB started in on his best Foghorn Leghorn. And I say, I say, the kids were so confused.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So, like the good parents we are, we introduced our brood to Foghorn Leghorn over lunch. If their faces are any indication, I think they’re now fans of ol’ Foghorn.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And after a broke down mail truck, the chicks getting stuck in a town an hour away, a little finagling, and one fantastic neighbor, our chicks arrived.

Hey, it’s me—T!
This channel is where Good Movement Draws Good Movement meets YouTube. Formerly known as Faith Family & Beef, it’s still me—mommin’, ranching, and navigating life out here in the Sandhills of Nebraska, fueled by strong coffee and a whole lotta Jesus.
Now, I’m bringing the conversations from my podcast straight to your screen—real talk about relationships, emotions, and the tough stuff we don’t always have words for, especially in rural life.
So if you’re ready for honest, down-to-earth conversations (with a side of stockmanship wisdom), hit that subscribe button, pull up a seat, and stay awhile. New episodes drop weekly!
