Are you TRULY committed?
A lot of people struggle with motivation when it comes to weight loss, or any other goal they set
Motivation seems to be this fleeting thing that just comes and goes.
One day you feel extremely hyped…
Then the next you wake up and feel super lazy
And you start to procrastinate
Skipping that work out you’re supposed to do because of that new series release on Netflix
Not adhering to that diet because it’s hard
Before you know it it’s already been two weeks that you’ve kinda “fell off”
Two weeks turn into a month..
One month turns into three, then six..
Then a year goes by and you’re disappointed as you are now in a worse shape than before you started
Deep down it makes you feel uneasy
And you start beating yourself up for not following through on your goals earlier
Excuses pop up of how you’ve been ‘too busy’ or you justify not hitting your goals as a result of external circumstances that you ‘have no control over’
Now what this usually comes down to is that...
MAYBE you don’t really want your goals that badly
Nobody in the world can motivate you except for yourself
So how do you motivate yourself?
You dig deep and figure out the real reason why you want something
What do you ultimately want? Why’s that important?
If you don’t change this. What will that mean?
What do you think will happen if you remain exactly where you are for the next couple of years?
What’s the cost of remaining the same?
Ask yourself
Why do you want this?
When you discover your why
And you have intrinsic motivation
Only then will you be truly committed
But until you find this motivation
You’ll just keep beating around the bush
So be brutally honest with yourself
Do you say one thing, and do another
Or are you truly committed?
