Fascia is one of the body's most fascinating and complex structures. It's a thin but strong tissue that surrounds and connects all the muscles, bones, nerves, and organs in the body. Fascia acts like a network, holding everything in place and giving our body its shape and structure.

When it comes to the pelvic floor, fascia plays a crucial role in both stabilization and function. The pelvic floor is a group of muscles and tissues that support the function of the bladder, uterus, and intestines. The fascia surrounding these muscles helps to maintain balance and proper function.

When injury or overstrain occurs in the pelvic floor, such as after childbirth or due to prolonged stress, the fascia can become stiff, tense, or scarred. This can affect the pelvic floor's ability to function optimally, leading to pain, reduced mobility, and other discomforts.

But the amazing thing about fascia is its ability to heal and adapt. Through movement, specific exercises, and manual therapy, fascia can regain its elasticity and function. This supports the healing of the pelvic floor, restores muscle balance, and improves blood circulation in the area, which is crucial for the body's self-repair.

The importance of fascia in healing is a reminder of how everything in the body is interconnected. By taking care of our fascia, we give our body the best conditions for recovery and well-being.

Understanding and nurturing our fascia is a powerful tool to support our own healing process, especially when it comes to sensitive areas like the pelvic floor.

HEALTH TRIGGERS ๐Ÿฆ  Last week in India I got an infection in my big toe. Since I had the infection both in India and Sweden, I have had contact with doctors from both countries.

In addition, we got home just in time for Easter when only the emergency room is open. This has led to me not getting the help I needed in the fastest way. When I experienced the fall and found myself without help from the care, I felt powerless and alone.

I sought help from several doctors, midwives and physiotherapists. I felt lost and abandoned in a situation where I desperately needed help and support.

Now, when I am confronted with the toe infection and experience similar deficiencies in care, I experience similar emotions where I can feel the underlying trauma of the prolapse experience.

This experience has triggered emotions I went through when I had prolapse and pelvic floor problems and felt abandoned by healthcare. The feelings of panic and frustration are the same.

To me, this is a sign that I need to continue processing the provocera flor trauma if I want to feel free. And I want to feel free. ๐ŸŒบ
