I don’t usually post about news or culture here, but I need to say something. I tried posting this yesterday & numerous times today but Youtube wouldn't allow me to. I was trying to upload an image of a flag but it won't allow it.
On 9-10, an innocent man lost his life. Charlie Kirk represented open dialogue, debate, and living according to his convictions. Agree with him or not, no one should ever be in danger or lose their life for speaking about their beliefs, thoughts, or opinions.
One of the most heartbreaking things about this week was seeing how many people are celebrating this tragedy. If that’s you, please unsubscribe from my content.
For everyone else, I've shared my full reflection on my blog here: lifeanddiy.com/turning-point-america-charlie-kirk-…

Dr. Cywes @DrCywesCarbAddictionDoc just released what he’s calling his “most hated” video — you may want to check it out.
He explains why he believes that a 100% carnivore diet may actually become harmful long-term, due to something called insulin suppression.
This comes at an interesting time because there was a recent study released on LMHRs (Lean mass hyper responders) and it found that even though this group was lean and metabolically healthy—they still had the same level of soft plaque in their arteries as non-LMHRs. Dr. Cywes did a video on this too recently. I fit the criteria of an LMHR and I know many of you do too.
I think the way we eat is very personal. But I also believe it’s smart to stay open, keep learning, and explore new ideas. If you have any thoughts on this, please share them down below!

If you're ever going to have an MRI with contrast injected, please watch this video before you do it! https://youtu.be/3LKH-5dupxA?si=Fyhjl... I'm trying to raise awareness about the risks involved in gadolinium contrast agents.
I share my story, how I had my MRI with contrast almost 8 years ago, my recent lab results for heavy metals & what you need to know about gadolinium and MRIs with contrast. These are things doctors should tell you, but don't!
Please share the video with anyone who is about to go in for one of these scans. Each person needs to weigh out the risks vs. benefits but they can't do that without being informed. Please spread the word! Thank you! - Holly

I recently posted a video sharing how I fixed my 3 a.m. wake-ups and sleep issues (https://youtu.be/7ulKd1_sp5Y). And, part of my solution was the Luminette Light Therapy glasses. Many of you were interested in them and these are on sale now on Amazon here: amzn.to/3CUmkap for $159. They're also sold on their main website and discounted there to $149 myluminette.com/?ref=lifediy15. They're normally $200. Out of all my biohacking devices or tech products, this is the most important one I own.

For anyone thinking about getting a rebounder for at home workouts, I highly recommend the Bcan! There's a Cyber Monday Deal going on now and you can get it for only $75 here: amzn.to/3CgZ5a6! The last time it was this cheap was 3 months ago - as it's normally $100+ dollars. This one is such a good value for the high quality product you get!

Welcome to Life & DIY with Holly — where I share health, longevity, skincare, supplements, biohacking, and real-life experiments that actually work (and the ones that don’t).
My passion for health began after life-altering challenges in 2010. Since then, I’ve been on a mission to rebuild health, energy, and resilience through research, self-experimentation, and a DIY approach.
I’m infinitely curious and love discovering and sharing practical, science-backed tools that support healing and better living.
I'm also an Army Veteran, a long-time online marketer (since 2005), and someone who’s lived and traveled all over. These days, I work from home and spend most of my time surrounded by nature, always planning the next experiment. Welcome to the community!
