Are you interested in learning more about why polyphasic sleep works? I've recently released a page on polyphasic.net where I discuss the two competing hypotheses for how polyphasic sleepers are able to sustain their schedules without feeling tired during the day even though they have shorter total sleep times than monophasic sleepers. I talk about limitations with both hypotheses, what evidence there is for them and more!

You can read more about it in this link, where multiple videos on the topics can also be found! www.polyphasic.net/adenosine-alertness-hypothesis/

Stay strong everyone and good luck with your adaptations!

Hey there!

V4 of the Dark period calculator has been released! In this version, some small bugs have been fixed, and you are also notified which the weakest permitted light filtering glasses are for your setup! This should hopefully have made the calculator a lot easier to use.

If you didn't know, the dark period is essential for the long-term health of polyphasic sleepers. The gist of it is that you block enough light during the night so that your circadian rhythm isn't destabilized on your polyphasic schedule., as this can lead to a lot of negative health effects. Both the calculator and more in-depth information about the dark period can be found on the FREE dark period course on polyphasic.net.

Good luck with your adaptations and stay safe and healthy!
