hi long time no see! I have been working hard on an AI fitness trainer. It will answer any question, build a plan, give health and recovery advice. All π to use. It is pre-loaded with expert cycling/running/swimming/nutrition knowledge and I am updating it regularly. No advertising.
Main link is poe.com/AI_FitnessTrainer but it works best if you install POE AI app on your phone and then load it.
If you search under my name, you will also find medical bot + mental health bot

Here is a short blog post on which training strategy will likely improve your FTP: www.cyclingapps.net/blog/how-to-improve-my-ftp/
I discuss the difference between based / polarized / sweetspot and HIT training in terms of FTP. Feedback welcome! Any factors I did not mention that you think are important?

I have been looking for a simple gym logging app which can help track weights & cardio workouts. These donβt give much training advice; they are a simple diary of what you did (sets/reps/PRs) with progress graphs, a nice UI and cloud back up. But they tend to bombard you with ads and ask for silly $$. So I made this review of my favourites:

Hey, I am making a video tomorrow on exercise streaks (consecutive days-in-a-row) and I want to know if you think maintaining cycling streaks is easier or harder than maintaining running streaks? Example, is it harder to run 30 days in a row than to cycle 30 days in a row? (Video will follow soon)

Sorry I have been away so long!! As you may know it was due to coronavirus, I was in hospital, but recovering well. Also I had a nightmare with the terrible UK host 123reg. Every day my websites CYCLINGAPPS.NET & FASTFITNESS.TIPS would crash, and all they would do is blame someone else (cloudflare). They also wanted an additional $100 per year per domain for for each SSL! After 6months of tears, they finally admitted their server had inadequate RAM and told me to upgrade. After paying them at least 4 additional fees, and spending literally hours on their helpline, nothing was solved and I decided to move everything away. They still charged me for spoof fake web addresses that I didn't want ("*.co") that they allocated to me without asking, they repeated lied about fixing the service with upgrades they did not carry out and became increasingly rude: "We already tried to help with this issue, so we consider it closed, and don't ask for free stuff neither". Yes that insult combined with bad grammar is a direct quote!! Finally I moved to a new host (shout out to hostinger for a better price btw) and both cyclingapps.net and fastfitness.tips appear to be working smoothly for the first time in six months. I am sorry if you have had problems accessing my blog, i guess the lesson is vote with your feet if you are getting bad service.

I should have asked you *before* I made this video (https://youtu.be/Ow_u4IWnYYY) but what is your budget for your next road bike?

I need your help with this question. What are there additional gains when training with a power meter (vs the same motivated person who doesn't have a power meter)? How much faster would he/she progress? I can find no study on this. Your opinion?

Solving cycling mysteries one spreadsheet at a time! Cycling science thru evidence not dogma including: aero savings, rolling resistance, power curves, turbo training, pacing, timetrials, power based training, FTP testing, exercise physiology. Occassionally we will try and bust a cycling myth. This is an independent channel not taking sponsorship and hence views are those of FFT only. Have a great ride!
