This is exactly the mindset all barrel racers should have. We shouldn't have to abuse our horses to make them do what they never even asked to do. And because so many riders are like this, the barrel racing world is written off as abusive, when riders should be looking at themselves and making a change in their riding style, one that works for both the horse and the rider 😉
