You are such an amazing barrel racer. When I run barrels I barely ever kick because I don’t need to. My horse is so strong and powerful that he knows when he needs to take off super fast. Love you SG!

People who do this really disgust me and there are a lot of people who do this sadly and they give barrel racing a bad name. Your probably one of the kindest barrel racer to your horse, keep up the good work.

No hate but fun fact and I ride English but ppl may disagree:horses can feel a fly land on them so they can definitely feel a kick so there’s not necessarily a reason to keep on kicking and kicking. They know to go fast if they are a good barrel horse. But ur a really good barrels racer and I hate when ppl star fish it’s so ugly and abusive to their horse. Yes, I was a barrel racer but not that good lol.

I agree. Like as a horse owner myself, I'm not full western. I'm a mix between western and English. I do English sports and use western for trail rides. But I know a lot of other western people who does poll bending, speed barrels, barrel racing, and possibly more. They never do that to there horses.

Yesss exactly! When I’m barrel racing or training a horse for barrels I never kick hard or use my reins like that that’s just disgusting I mean I hardly use them when I do the barrels I try to have very light hands and I don’t even have to kick ❤

Yeah it really depends on the rider, it’s the same as any discipline. Some people choose to be abusive and puts a whole bad wrap on the discipline and the ones that get the worst is barrel racing, dressage, and roping ( Which roping in my opinion is abusive bc u could break the cows leg, injure it, kill it, etc.

You are arguably the best barrel racer I have ever seen. You don't kick, pull at your horses head, and yet you are still REALLY good. Respect to you!
