Hey everyone, sorry for the delay on the weekly five but yesterday the weather was bad where I live so I didnât want the pics to be bad quality. Coincidentally I pulled a lot of orange/red colored releases this week!
Maharaja Night House Revolution Vol.4 (July 2023)
I recently re-listened to this again, and itâs a great release! Probably one of my favorites in the Maharaja Night House Revolution lineup. It has quite a few of the classic Julianaâs tracks on it, so definitely worth a listen!

Dancemania SPEED Evolution SPEED G3 (June 2019)
I would say Dancemania SPEED G3 is a divisive CD in the community. On one hand, Speed Records, and LED Records are exceptionally strong on this CD. On the other hand, this CD abandons the Dancemania remixes which was a defining feature of the series when it first started. Also, I felt like Runaway was lacking a little on this CD aside from âBaby Boyâ, and the Hardcore stuff was just DJ Stompy, and Next Generation. Despite this I still think itâs a good CD, and considering Dancemania was in the dark age during its release, I think it was okay that they skipped out on the remixes.

Julianaâs Tokyo DJâs Special Selection Hidden Gems (October 2023)
Here is the CD with the title that inspired the âHidden Gemâ line of this series! This CD is a strong Julianaâs mix considering the club was going bankrupt and the series was on the decline at this point. I personally like the first disc more then the second, but this release introduced a lot of new favorite tracks to me!

Dancemania X9 (January 2020)
Hereâs a classic, you canât really go wrong with a Dancemania âXâ CD. This CD did come with a slipcase, but unfortunately, as I buy most of my CDs used, it did not come with it. While I definitely feel like I prefer some of the older releases over this one, itâs still a strong mix.

Super Eurobeat Vol.40 Anniversary Non-Stop Edition (October 2022)
This is a pretty good Anniversary Mix. The cover photo of this one is pretty iconic too at least to me. Although I havenât listened to it in awhile Iâm likely biased towards it as Iâm a fan of the early 90âs eurobeat sound. My personal favorite mix has to be 46, but this one is great as well.

WEEKLY FIVE WEEK 7 (More Like WEEKLY FOUR)
Hello, Iâm finally back with another weekly five after a short break. I only have four CDs to show this week though, I had some more risquĂ© pullings so I wasnât sure if I wanted to showcase them without a warning. I did manage to censor Dancemania BASS 0 pretty well, but I still decided to add the warning. Speaking of which I will be talking about CDs that contain heavily explicit content in this entry so please if your under 18, or if you are uncomfortable with S*xual content. Stop viewing after the first two entries.
Avex Rave â94 DJ Power Mix (September 2022)
Avex â94 DJ Power Mix is probably one of my favorite mixes of all time. At first I wasnât sure if I would like it better than â93, but now I can say that I think it is way better. I had this compilation on my phone for awhile and it was typically my go to when I couldnât decide on anything else to listen to. Itâs an excellent mix that also incorporates Eurobeat, and some Eurogroove in addition to the standard rave tracks.

Super Eurobeat Vol.22 Mega-Mix Edition King & Queen Special (January 2024)
This mix is the first âKing & Queen Specialâ of the series, and honestly itâs really good, it was the CD that had the most tracks in the series at the time it was released. It features a lot of the best classic 1991 Eurobeat tracks, so if you are a fan of those I would definitely get this. Itâs also probably the best of the Maharaja specials, but I havenât listened to Vol.36 yet so I canât really say for exact certain.

Dancemania Presents E-Rotic Megamix (Christmas 2020)
E-Rotic Megamix is a pretty cool CD, containing new mixes of the classic E-Rotic songs from up to that point. I wouldnât say itâs one of my favorites because it does just consist of only one artist, and the tracks to differ from their originals. Itâs still a solid mix though with some Japan exclusive originals!

Dancemania BASS #0 (August 2020)
Here is the first Dancemania BASS CD, itâs a bit rough around the edges with a limited variety of labels it licenses from, but itâs not really a bad CD at all. Itâs probably my least favorite in the series, but it has some pretty good tracks on there.

I am also trying out the Age-Restriction feature on some of the more extreme BASS songs. I know this doesnât do much as most kids can just lie about their age, but just as an extra precaution, Iâve decided to experiment with it.

WEEKLY FIVE 2024 WEEK 6
Hey everyone, brief update before I start. I will be taking a short break from uploading
Dancemania BASS 5 songs for now, instead Iâm going to be working on updating my Dancemania BASS 0 and 1 uploads throughout this week, Iâll unlist those videos in the meantime. Also, next week I will not post a weekly five, as Iâm planning on doing a Birthday collection update instead.
TRANCEmania 3 (January 2020)
TRANCEmania 3 is probably my favorite in the TRANCEmania series, but I havenât listened to it in awhile so that might not be true anymore. It primarily features Flip & Fill tracks and remixes as itâs mixed by the duo, so if you like their tracks I would recommend getting this. Pretty solid wrap-up to the series in my opinion.

Two Face Tokyo Club Hits Collection (Christmas 2020)
The final installment in the Dancemania Club series. This release is good, though it has a lot of the usual repeats like âStayinâ Aliveâ and âTubthumpingâ. This CD did replace Club The Earth III and sometimes I wonder if EMI used the clubâs name change as an excuse to throw these repeat songs in. Anyway, as you can see I actually own the promo release of this! Itâs worth mentioning that the OBI strip also counts as a ticket for two people to enter the club.

Dancemania DELUX 2 (August 2021)
Another cool Promo I own is Dancemania DELUX 2! I personally like DELUX 2 a lot for the early Dancemania feel. Itâs fun, and the many Latin House licenses bring a strong summer vibe to the CD. Although I do wish they found a different spot to put the promo sticker.

A more recent addition to my collection. Iâm not a huge fan of the later Maharaja volumes, as I feel they declined in quality a bit, and became overly formulaic. The songs on this CD are still great, and I like it a bit more that Vol.17 but yeah, itâs not like when the series peaked.

Super Eurobeat Vol.93 ~Non-Stop Mega Mix~ (Birthday 2022)
Super Eurobeat Vol.93 was actually the first SEB CD I added to my collection! I received a copy of it in February 2020, but this copy is the one I received for my Birthday as it was In slightly better condition. The Megamix is nice and features some exclusive songs that couldnât be heard elsewhere at the time. Also, the history CD that accompanies the Megamix is my favorite of the History series so all around itâs great and memorable CD for me.

Dancemania Summers 2 (August 2020)
Dancemania Summers 2 has always been a favorite of mine, for awhile this and 2001 have always been tied for my favorite in the series (though I think as of late Iâm leaning more towards 2001.) This CD feels a lot more polished than the first entry, and Introduces more Scorccio and other Neo-Disco tracks that both seasonal series are popular for.

Dancemania SPEED 6 (Christmas 2019)
If youâve been on my channel since the early days you know that SPEED 6 hasnât been one of my favorites, and that I have been critical of it. However, I feel like the CD has really grown on me, and I feel like I do like it more than I used to. Would I say itâs one of my favorites? Not really, but I do think itâs a good CD through and through. I also know that I and a lot of other people, LOVE the artwork on this CD. Itâs a shame that the Dancemania SPEED girl was never reused on any artwork, although I believe there was plans to (I remember seeing a yellow hair/dress variant of her on the Dancemania Mania Tumblr page awhile back.)

Super Eurobeat Vol.90 Anniversary Non-Stop Mix (July 2022)
You canât really go wrong with an SEB anniversary mix, and this is no exception. Although one thing I dislike about it, is the sleeve case which isnât a true sleeve case in that it is open on both sides. Itâs kind of difficult to get the CD out, which causes it to get damage, and on top of that Iâm not sure if it has an OBI, but it doesnât really display all that well. Anyway I still like the music, itâs a solid mix that released right around the time Eurobeatâs popularity was starting to peak.

Maharaja Night Vol.12 Non-Stop Disco Mix (December 2023)
Here Is another Maharaja Night Mix, which I have shown in a recent collection update. This CD is alright, I kind of feel like the series was starting to tank a bit at this point. This was also the first volume to change the artwork from the traditional square format, and if Iâm being honest I preferred the square format a bit better, as it gave it more originality, but I could also see a case for it being plain looking. Anyway good release but not one of my favorites.

House Revolution Vol.29 (January 2024)
Another CD from the previously mentioned collection update. I actually like this CD A LOT. While I do have my favorites, there really arenât any âbadâ songs on this CD. I personally feel like the late 1994 era of Avex techno/dance is very underrated as both 25, and 29, are excellent releases in my opinion (I donât plan on getting 26, or 28 but the track lists of those are still really good. I do have Vol.27 on the way!)

Itâs come to my attention recently that the well-loved happy hardcore producer David Edge aka DJ Fade has passed away. His passing happened last year, but the news was just made public a little over a week ago, cause of his death is still unknown.

Hey everyone, sorry for the delay on the weekly five, Iâm thinking that I might move it to weekends anyway though. As a brief channel update, Iâm planning to do a lot of Dancemania BASS content this summer, as Iâm behind on the series. I plan to start with BASS 4 and 5 uploads Monday and then update my Dancemania BASS 0 and 1 uploads. After that I may do 6 and 7 but I may put it off for a later date this season and choose to do something else. With that out of the way, letâs get into the weekly five
Dancemania X1 (January 2020)
I feel like Dancemania X1-X9 are all phenomenal CDs as this was Dancemaniaâs peak. My copy doesnât have the lenticular insert but thatâs because there were two versions of this CD released and mine just happens to be the sparkle title instead of the 3D. Overall itâs a really great CD with a lot of classic and fun songs.

Dancemania BASS 6 (January 2020)
Dancemania BASS 6 was one of my favorite volumes back in the day, but I havenât listened to it in awhile to see how it holds up still. I-Dance did a lot of fun stuff with this series like making the solid color cases for 6 and 7 as well as doing stickers for some of the volumes (as you can see in the picture.) Something thatâs also neat about this volume is that it features covers of covers from the Avex Trax House Revolution/Super Dance Freak series (ex. âA Night To Rememberâ, and âBillie Jeanâ).

Trance (October 2023)
This is a newer edition to my collection. This CD is part of the Trance Paradise series, and itâs alright. Itâs a good mix but similar to a few CDs in this era you can tell that it was a cash grab by the amount of reappearing songs. It does still have some nice newer tracks, and the artwork/pun in the title is cute (The kana spelling of Cover Trance, technically also spells the Japanese word for Hippo (Kaba) and Tiger (Tora) hence the appearance of the animals on the cover art.)

beatmania 5thMix Original Soundtrack (Christmas 2022)
This was a release I wasnât sure if I would like, given there were only a a few Dancemania licenses but I was pleasantly surprised when I first listened to this CD. A lot of the KONAMI originals quickly became some of my favorites. I donât know too much about the beatmania series, but all I can say is that I really enjoy this Soundtrack!

Super Eurobeat Vol.9 (August 2022)
The first Avex release of the Super Eurobeat series. Itâs pretty solid, but it does have that old âjust testing the water outâ vibe to it. I like this CD though being an early SEB fan, and I donât think there is a bad song on this release.
