The first two CDs were released under the Intercord Japan sub-label, and the third and final CD was released under i-Dance when Intercord Japan got renamed. This series was Intercord Japan/i-Dance's first compilation series that focused solely on trance music. The first CD released on September 12th, 2001 amid the "Trance Boom" of the 21st century, and was a huge hit. Several of the songs were licensed for KONAMI's BEMANI title: DDRMAX Dance Dance Revolution 6thMix. The series aimed at highlighting the best trance tunes from around the globe (Though most of the songs came from European countries as trance was very popular there). The cover artwork of the first CD depicted the planet Earth to reflect this theme, and to play into the atmospheric nature of the genre. The following two CDs also were consistent with the planetary theme with the second CD featuring Earth's moon amid an orange "Lunar Eclipse". The third, and final CD released on August 21st, 2002, features the planet Jupiter with a green-ish hue.
