As you watch videos on our channel, keep in mind that what you’re watching is a narrow slice of what goes on in a university classroom that is focused on race, ancestry, culture, and all things controversial. In fact, it’s the largest race and culture class in the United States with nearly 800 students. You’ll likely have opinions one way or another regarding what you’re watching (hopefully, anyway), but you might only watch just one or maybe a few videos. There are 2,250 minutes in a single semester so it’s likely that something you wish had been discussed was addressed in another video.
No one SOC 119 class is ever repeated and, after over three decades teaching this course, this means just about every angle on a topic has been stated by Dr. Richards. However, if you find yourself disagreeing about something or, more importantly, if “Sam” really does miss an important point, let us know. He really is trying to be thoughtful and fair-minded.
