Always carry a camera with you. You cannot predict when creativity will strike. I was riding my bike to work yesterday and a storm was brewing. Then I saw this composition.

📸 Welcome to the Photos of Taiwan Community! 🇹🇼
Hi everyone — Ian here.
I’m thrilled to open this space up to all of you. Whether you shoot with a Ricoh, Leica, Fujifilm—or anything else—the brand doesn’t really matter. What counts is the story you see and share.
This isn’t just my community — it’s ours.
Feel free to:
• Post your favorite shots from Taiwan (or anywhere you roam)
• Ask for feedback or swap tips on gear, technique, or editing
• Recommend photo spots, cafés, or rainy-day routes
• Kick back and chat about life, photography, or whatever inspires you
🧠 Be thoughtful
📷 Stay curious
💬 Respect each other
If you’re new, drop an intro below: What do you shoot with? What draws you to street photography?
Glad you’re here. Let’s build something beautiful together.

I was wondering if you would like me to do some livestreams? If the answer is yes, what content would you like me to cover?

Just a quick update: I changed the channel's name. Elemental Core didn't really tell anyone anything about my content. I'm still not sure about this one, either. It may change again.
Another important update is that I'm working on a website overhaul and other improvements. This is a significant step in our journey, and I'm excited to share it with you. Most of all, I thank you for subscribing and supporting my efforts!

Hello and welcome! I’m Ian Jukes, a seasoned English street photographer residing in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. My journey with the camera started years ago in the heart of the Black Country, Tipton. What began as an interest transformed into a deep passion and a career that took me to the vibrant and bustling streets of Taiwan.
My love for photography is complemented by my formal education in Visual Communication – Photography
Influenced by the legends of photography like Steve McCurry, Bill Brandt, Martin Parr, and Phil Penman, I strive to capture the ordinary and transform it into extraordinary visual tales. The bustling streets of Taiwan, its people, and the unique blend of tradition and modernity offer inspiration for my work.
But what truly sets me apart is my desire to share my knowledge and experience with others. I teach street photography and post-processing techniques, hoping to inspire and equip future photographers with the skills they need.
