I recently took part in a VO₂ Max treadmill test at Worcester Uni — yes, strapped in, treadmill ramping up, fan blasting in my face — all at the age of 64. 🏃♂️💨
The science shows referees (and most of us, really) operate at 60–80% of our VO₂ Max when we’re active. For me, it was a great reminder that stamina, strength, and balance matter at every stage of life.
