La Loba
Clarissa Pinkola Estés, a poet, storyteller and psychoanalysist, tells the story about a wolf woman, a collector of bones, who resurrects the wild spirit of life from death.
“She creeps through the mountains and the dry riverbeds, looking for wolf bones, and when she has assembled an entire skeleton, she sits by the fire and thinks about what song she will sing. Then she stands over the criatura, raises her arms over it, and sings out. Hence the rib bones and leg bones of the wolf begin to flesh out and the creature becomes furred, La Loba sings some more, and more of the creature comes into being.”
La Loba sings deeply and as she sings, the wolf opens its eyes, leaps up, and runs away down the canyon.
As it runs through a shimmering river, moonlight dancing across its new fur, and the deep song of the cave fades away, the wolf is suddenly transformed into a laughing, jubilant woman who runs free toward the horizon.
Clarissa Pinkola Estes finishes the story by telling us that in the regions of Mexico, even today, it is said that if we find ourselves lost wandering the desert around sunset, we are actually lucky, for La Loba may take pity on us and show us something that we cannot really grasp at first — something of the Soul.

Welcome to my YouTube channel dedicated to start setting a healthy meditation practice and create a space to feel at home as we are.
My name is Gina and I am thrilled to share my knowledge and experience here.
In this video, I will introduce you to the wonderful world of meditation. I will explain how my work centers around helping find inner strenght and courage to sit with what is (thoughts, emotions, inner criticims and self judgment) and also find a practice that is uniquely yours.
I have been meditating for years and it has been and still is a life-changing journey for me.
Looking back and connecting the dots, I can now say that meditation is as unique as our breath as it is never the same.
The benefits of meditation are countless. Nonetheless creating a space where we sit in silence, take a break from the chatter of the mind and open up to what is will help us create resilence, better concentration, patience and strenght to stand up for what is important to us.
