Wow so many new faces! To those who are new here, and to those who have been here a long time, WELCOME! 💙 My name is Sarah Beth, and here's a little bit about me:
I'm a first generation Indian-American from Minnesota living in Colorado. I'm also an online yoga teacher, business owner, wife & mother to 2 young boys and I have Ulcerative Colitis, an autoimmune disease that affects my colon.
I've been teaching yoga in person and online for over 14 years. In addition to my this YouTube channel, I also run the SarahBethYoga APP with thousands of supportive & growth-focused yogis. I found my calling as a yoga teacher focusing on "Modern Day Yoga & Lifestyle" with a focus on the basic teachings of yoga, functional movement & yoga philosophy taught in a way that's easy to understand & apply to everyday life.
I believe that even 5 minutes of yoga a day is better for you than 1 hour once a week. Your yoga practice is a mental, physical & emotional hygiene practice.
The more you step on your mat the more you peel back the layers to becoming your best self, on & off your mat.
So I created 5-30 minute yoga videos with themes like mindfulness, power, and self-care that are mostly available for free as my way to give to you.

Don't let the word "beginner" fool you because this challenge is a way for ALL OF US to get on the same page with basic yoga poses and you'll feel new muscles with deeper alignment regardless for where you are in your practice.
For the very beginners: I've included a TON of modifications and I take them myself too so you can follow along and learn how to make the poses work for you. Better yet, I also include the next step of the pose so you can EVOLVE out of the beginner videos when your body is ready.

I just completed our weekly live class in the SarahBethYoga APP and it felt so good that I'm going to make it completely free for the next week for you to try.
You'll see that we begin with chatting (members chat with me in the comments) and I share intentions and ideas for the week. Our Intuitive & Somatic practice begins around 17:00, great lower energy & low effort practice to ease tension, and ends around 55:00 with Q&A at the end including ideas for a book club and future retreats.

How are you enjoying the new video style?
You're witnessing me be "a beginner again" as I learn how to improve teaching with a mic and in a new setting. Expect each month of videos to be a slight improvement on the ones before based on your feedback and observations.
It's a practice, not a perfect.
But I've got to share, this style of teaching is allowing me to speak from the heart and off the cuff which I think lends a bit of magic to the new videos.
