TRACK LISTING BELOW, CLICK SHOW MORE
A compilation of many of Slowdive's unreleased/demo songs. As these are largely unedited, unpolished studio takes, the quality of the audio is not very good overall.

I do not own the rights to any of the music, all music is by the band Slowdive. I put this together for the love of the band, and in hopes that they might one day release high quality finished versions of these amazing tracks.

Track Listing:
0:00 - Summer Day
3:26 - Bleed
6:56 - Sleep
11:11 - Silver Screen
16:44 - Joy
21:18 - Hide Yer Eyes
24:39 - Instrumental (Take 1)
28:24 - Richard
33:37 - I Saw the Sun
36:56 - I Believe
40:38 - Money
41:52 - I Thought I Saw
46:45 - Joy (Drum Machine Demo)
51:26 - Hide Yer Eyes (Alternative Version)
55:46 - 40 Days (Demo)
59:45 - Sing (Demo)
1:04:25 - When the Sun Hits (Demo)
1:09:20 - Dagger (Demo)
1:12:55 - Silver Screen (Version II)
1:17:00 - Colours in Spin (Live)
1:22:27 - Curtains and Carpets (Live)
1:27:40 - Drunken Nonsense
1:28:45 - Untitled #1
1:32:33 - Jazz Odeon (Live)
1:37:48 - Ports Theme
1:40:40 - Nightmare
1:43:58 - Facto
1:48:04 - Like Up
1:53:48 - It's Not For You
1:57:28 - On the Horizon
2:02:23 - Painting
2:03:42 - Stars That Shine
2:07:33 - AB (with Brian Eno)
2:10:25 - One Hundred Times
2:14:53 - Ports Theme II
2:17:02 - Geisha
2:21:29 - Your Sun (Incomplete Demo)
2:24:46 - Summer Daze
2:29:22 - Lonesome Fools
2:33:00 - Let's Go Away

My personal favorites are Sleep (one of their very top songs to me), Joy, Hide Yer Eyes, I Saw the Sun, I Thought I Saw, It's Not For You, On the Horizon (the most un-slowdive-like track), Stars That Shine, AB (my favorite instrumental of theirs), and Let's Go Away.

I got most of the track choices from bootlegs like I Saw the Sun, Hide Yer Eyes, Souvlaki Demos & Outtakes, etc.

There are a few Souvlaki demos in here because the Souvlaki demos were never released on cd as far as I know, unlike the disc 2 demos of Pygmalion.

Wow I don't know what it is but I think Slowdive's unreleased stuff is some of the most beautiful music in the world, there's a blissful melancholic feel to it I just can't find as good in anything else, thanks so much for uploading this!

The unreleased work is 100% on a level with the released stuff (writing/composition-wise).

When you see that a band has two hours and thirty eight minutes of demos and rarities, THAT's when you know a band is good

The demo for Dagger makes that song that much more heartbreaking

Just my opinion, but I find the demo version of 'Dagger' even more haunting than the album version. Neil's voice sounds more melancholic here - perhaps it's because the heartbreak from the split with Rachel was a fresher memory than when it was recorded for the album

i had no idea they had so much unreleased music, as a huge slowdive fan they have literally saved my life, I'm only at the first song "summers day" and its so eerie and beautiful and I could honestly cry

"I Saw the Sun" is one of my favorite songs ever. There's a slowed down version on YouTube that sounds incredible too (and for some reason it's set to the music video for "I Wanna Be Adored" by The Stone Roses, but it works haha). Thank you for uploading all of these tracks! <3

this is a Slowdive fan's dream, thank you for the upload! the 40 Days demo is hypnotic and the deep, non album cuts are diamonds.

i wanna go back in time and beat up alan mcgee for thinking that the demos between "just for a day" and "souvlaki" aren't good enough

Fell asleep in a drunken sleep with headphones on listening to Neil Young, among others, and and awoke in increments of realisation that I’d been on a YouTube trip and was listening to something really special. I’m still in it so forgive my lack of descriptive words…really special was and is the best I can come up with at the moment.

Thanks for loading this - Yes, Sleep is brilliant, as is most of their stuff. I remember seeing them support Cranes in London when they started and was amazed when they didn't achieve the success they deserved. The one band that I saw that I had never heard of but was an instant lifelong fan. Their importance shouldn't be underestimated, IMO. Glad they're getting some recognition now.
