I really like this album cuz it kinda flipped the golden retriever gf/bf trope around. The dog is the toxic one while the dark edgier character is just trying their best. I also appreciated how the love interest is a more masculine woman while still being present as a sweet, gentle person. I know it's based on personal events but I really do appreciate the more unique portrayal of wlw relationships here. This is why I always say that if you want queer representation in music it's important to give small creators a chance. It feels authentic because it is authentic.

I started crying to this song. It just hurts to think that my relationship can somewhat relate to this. It has so much highs and lows. The highs are filled with happiness and love, it feels healthy. But when its low, and we fight, and I feel the coldness in their words, it hurts so much that it's unbearable. I think I'm still like Bird, trying their best to hold on. you released this song 9 days ago but I've already listened to it 90 times?? a little subtle thing I really like is the reference to pavlov's bell, and the fact that their family is the leash choking them??? but they're still the same creature as the family, hunting dogs. the way dogs and birds are fundamentally prey and predator,, and the dog knows this and KNOWS this is toxic and they're never going to be the best and they want the bird to fly away and have a chance of living a beautiful life away from a hunter whose first instinct is violence because that is all they know!!! who feels guilty for being a slave to their instincts even though we are all made up of our instincts. but also the way they are toxic. and they know it. aaaaaaaaaah omg madds you have OUTDONE yourself with 'my love is sick' and 'dogbird' (the only two I've listened to so far)

its pretty interesting know the fact that dogs will actually dig there claws into you when there scared, i have a dog that does it a lot, its it unfortunate but ill cuddle with her to calm her
