Zane was the voice of radio for me when I was growing up. So to do my first in depth interview like this wit him was a total honour. 🙏❤🙏❤🙏❤

Zane is like that conversation you have in a random kitchen at 4am, with a stranger, who's now your soulmate, after you've double dropped and are levelling out

It’s hard to put into words why I’m so drawn to his art. His music is so captivating and somehow feels inclusive. The energy and sense of community is really palpable. On a personal level his music just ticked so many boxes for me… this level of recognition is beyond deserved.

Fred is that once in a generation kind of guy. The way he uses dead vocal space to heighten the message of what he’s trying to say takes talent. Fred saved my life and I’ll forever owe that to him.

I don't want to be overly dramatic but I truly feel like this is one of the more important interviews in music.

The second half with Fred actually touching the equipment and breaking down his music was sublime. Zane I’d love for you to do more interviews like this. Conversations but also space for them to share and explain their music.

That look at 41:55 is pure admiration and Zane knowing how special this moment right there is and what this beautiful human is creating right in front of him. What an incredible conversation (cause this is no ordinary interview, don't be mistaken!)

This man is a wordly treasure. How lucky are we to live at the same time as him and his music? Went from not knowing who he was 2 months ago to listening to him for at least a half hour a day every day since the boiler room set went live.

It’s crazy cos when he talks about himself he’s quiet tense and gets quiet nervous (judging from his body language) but the second he speaks about music the cups down and he’s regains that confidence and you can tell music does a lot of good for him and really helps him just as much as his music helps everyone else ❤️

Fred's music hits me like Burial's music hits me, there is something that pulls the emotion strings. Truly talented and immensely humble.

Fred is pure and the environment he creates exudes nothing but that: Purity and ecstatic connection. He's given us hope and a galvanizing sonic community during such a time of reckoning, personally and collectively. Weirdly enough, last night I had a dream I hung out with him. He sat me down and played some of his new music and asked what I thought. I woke up aching that it wasn't "actual life". Glad I have this video to pretend I'm Zane Lowe to haha See you guys at Fred's next NYC party!

I loved when Fred talked about making music in a club using headphones with noise cancellation and then shutting everything out yet being able to observe everything so beautifully. I did this at a festival I attended a few weeks ago. I was honestly not having the best night. I was trying to find my friends in a different camp but being too drunk and tired I ultimately just gave up and thought to myself I had to head home for the night and come back tomorrow. So for the first time ever during a festival I put on my headphones, pumped the volume all the way up, and put on Delilah (pull me out of this). Ironically that was probably the moment I remember the most from that 7-day festival. I felt like I became one with the music and my whole body just wanted to move. Walking through that festival alone and observing my surroundings while listening to Fred was just so incredibly beautiful - like I felt like I was in a movie. Thank you Fred for blessing us with your art
