POV: You wrote as a princess regularly with an anonym letter friend. As time goes by you really liked the person. Even though u din't know the persons face at all. You also assumed that the person didn’t know that ur a princess at all cause of the way the person talks to you casually. But one thing was for u sure. Ur letter friend is funny and cares for u a lot. Every day you struggled with the duty of a perfect princess so you had a person to rely on. You always questioned urself how the person would look like. You didn't even know if the person was a he or a she. But you really wanted to meet the person. One day you went up to ur balcony again and you wrote in the letter if you could meet up with the person someday. The next day the bird flew to ur balcony again and the person replied: ,, I think we will meet each other soon enough, My Lady.'' You were left confused. But you didn't have the time to think about it much because a ball was coming soon. A royal banquet. Like every year. So the palace was very busy. And you were also busy by organizing stuffs like choosing extravagant decorations etc. and also picking out a dress. The maids made a big fuss on the day of the banquet. They dressed you beautifully after picking out a gorgeous dress for you. Your hair shined brighter than the moon. The hair accessories matched with ur dress pretty well. Its your favorite color after all. You swirled a few times in front of the mirror. Your hair fluttered in the air and the dress swirled as elegantly as the owner who wore the dress right in that moment. Your maids were in awe and you couldn't look away anymore. You're just too pretty. ,,Good work you all! I really appreciate ur hard work.'' the maids replied with: ,, No problem at all your highness!'' But one thing bothered you. You didn't received a reply from ur dear distant letter friend. You looked sad in the mirror again after spacing out. You shaked ur head aggressively and told to urself that its not important rn. It was time. You left ur room with two maids escorting you from behind. You walked like a feather. Not to mention the elegance you own. The hallway was magnificent and the soft red carpet beneath you felt like clouds. At the end of the hallway finally. The huge red golden door. Behind it the whole banquet hall with all the aristocrats and the royal family. You breathed in and out. Two guards bowed down to you: ,, We greet your royal highness. We shall announce you right now.'' They opened the doors:,, The royal Highness (xxx) has entered the ball room!'' You stepped forward and all the eyes were directed to you. It was magnificent and so extravagant as well. You slowly walked down the stairs with a straight and elegant posture. Your aura was brighter than all the lights in the ball room combined. You saw the royal family over there and went to them and bowed down to them. Your finger tips lifted a bit of the fabric of ur ballgown and you bowed down elegantly. Perfect etiquette. Your parents also bowed their heads a bit to you and they smiled proudly at you. ,,Mother, Father please excuse me for a bit. I shall go and greet some guests in your stead.'' They smiled and nodded ,, You are excused''. Soon after that it was time for the royal dance. Despite from all the invitations you got from young and male aristocrats there were none suitable for you. So you didn't have a partner because you declined them all. But it was a must that the royal family should dance at least the first round in order to ,,beginn'' the banquet. Your parents were already on the wide and open dance floor. Many men would feel honored to dance the first dance with you. But it was considered rude if many man directly asked the hand of a lady at the same time so nobody approached you at first. They hesitated. Except for one. A young handsome and attractive man came up to you. He bowed down to you and kissed ur hand ,,May the royal highness grant me, Crown Prince (xxx) from the western empire, the first dance?''. He smirked a bit after asking that. You blushed lightly. You replied ,,You may be my first dance partner then..'' He smiled genuinely. He took ur hand and you two stepped towards the dance floor. You both bowed down to each other and started to dance. You both hold hands while you placed ur other hand on his bright shoulders. Suddenly he placed his other hand on ur waist and you blushed a little. He took the lead and you followed along. You said: ,,You're better than I thought. You dance very well'' He replied:,, I'm honored your highness. You’re also a good dancer'' Without noticing you blushed again. But you realized that you didn't see him before. But you knew that he was an important person. He's the Crown prince from the Western Empire after all. You two practically flew around the dance floor. Your moves and steps were as lightly as a feather. And it seemed like u two were floating on clouds. Everyone gazes were fixed on both of you. You spaced out in his jewel like eyes. They sparkled brighter than the sun itself. He's tall, has a good and muscular figure and he's altogether very handsome. He has the charm but also a significant aura that sparkled around him. But suddenly you spaced out in his eyes longer than expected and realized that you're both still dancing and that there were other people around too. Out of sudden realization you panicked and stepped on his foot and tripped. He caught you and your faces were now closer than before. His beautiful shiny hair tingled on your face. Your eyes met again. He looks shocked at first too. But then his gaze softened and he smiled at you. You blushed harder than before ,,How embarrassing!..'', you thought. It never happened to you before. Your etiquette and dance was always obviously flawless. But why did it happen? All your thoughts went through your head in a second. He grabbed ur waste and lifted u up in the air and twirled. Your hair and dress twirled in the air too. You looked like an angle. You were surprised at how smooth he handled the situation. It looked flawless like the accident never happened. Everything happened probably under one second. But that one second felt like 1 minute to you. You enjoyed being lifted up. You felt free like a bird. Then you landed on the ground again and you both slowly came to an end. You bowed down at each other again and everyone applauded. It was amazing. That feeling.. was something you never experienced before. He smiled at you and you smiled back. He bowed down to kiss your hand and at the same time he glanced up to you smirking ,,I will never forget how you stepped on my foot, My Lady.'' You flushed. But then you realized something.. did he say.. My Lady?.. ,,no way'' you whispered. ,,A-are you-''. He said: ,, Yes Mylady. Its me your letter friend.'' You couldn't believe it. How did he recognize you? But that wasn't important for you at the moment. You looked surprised and shocked but also smiled at the same time. The person who was always at ur side and helping you out was standing right in front of you now. You hugged him and he looked surprised for sure. The crowd was shocked as well. But it didn't matter to you. He hugged you back and after that you dragged him out to the palace garden. He stood there surprised but he was also happy to see you. You're both alone now. So you both took a walk and your arm hooked up at his arm. You were a bit flustered but you two became comfortable around each other very fast. The light wind, the dark evening sky with the bright moon and all the sparkly stars… the atmosphere was romantic. You two began to told about ur stories to each other. And you also found out that he would stay for a while here because of some trading business. Good for you. As time went by your developing feelings grew more and more. You took walks with each other and just spent much Time with each other. You were happy to be together and that's what all mattered to you...(to be continued?)
