As this needs context none of you understand let me enlighten you I was in this video so I will speak 1. This isn't violence or a joke 2. This is the nga puhi wero/taki, in it we have matataki/kaiwero 3 of them 1st shows strength and power 2nd shows grace and agility 3rd and final taki/wero shows speed The old man (referred to in earlier comments) is a warrior(in nga puhi) and has a right to challenge the taki/wero if he thinks they are lacking which he did by chasing the third man if caught he has right to fight him solo it's also embarrassment to be caught so there's alot of pressure on both sides there are rules to chase for both sides once behind the first line it is suppose to end but if chaser continues its the ope (defending warriors) duty to stop chasers because the 3rd man has beaten him to home and his right to chase has ended when the chaser got to close to the lines after runner was deemed to won and home(behind the line of warriors is considered home or safety) the Toa (lines of defence) stopped him because in the lines was also wahine and tamariki who were apart of the welcoming party once this had ended it was quickly and peaceful WITH RESPECT from both sides ended so if you don't know our tikanga don't talk like you do Kia Ora
