I'm no cinephile and haven't gotten around to watching Zone yet, but every movie I've seen from Jonathan Glazer has been an absolute artistic banger. There is a meaning you can gather from every frame of his films and that meaning will probably say a lot about you. You sort of find yourself in his movies.
Of course with a concept like this directly confronting fascism (what I gather from the premise), he knew that HE had to be the one to say this coz no one else would, and he did.
To all the people criticizing him, I would love to know what they gathered from the film.

The movie that won for adapted screenplay was a satire that literally made fun of white guilt liberals and featured a protagonist that would be called 'one of the good ones' by conservatives but yeah, the Oscars are woke because two black people won and there were like two jokes about conservatives I guess
