This is really helpful, thank you! I think Psych2go is in my walls 'cause today I was talking to a person and I said 'I just' 'cause I was worried, and it's very true- it's just a filler that removes assertiveness and makes you sound more apologetic, insecure and honestly- like you feel like you're a bother. I need to stop focusing so much on whether people will like me, and start viewing myself as a catch, someone who other people would be lucky to have. Not in a narcissistic way, but I really am someone people would be lucky to have, I need to start acting like it and thinking of myself that way. A lot of the social anxiety I get is from a negative self-image, so I need to work on how I view myself. Thanks again psych2go, you're amazing <3

Even if the way you speak is less direct, or is more timid/open, you don’t need to SOUND confident right away to BE confident! Sure, it can help to let others know you’re sure of yourself, and that’s great! But the first step to BEING confident is proving to yourself you’re proud of what you do already and are fully capable to do better and achieve greatness! ILY, stranger. Take care.
