I absolutely love European shows and movies. Their teens are actual teens, with realistic problems, personalities and reactions, not just psychopaths who join the mafia or search for serial killers alone (aka Riverdale). Will and Simon's interactions feel and seem real, things human beings would actually say. I feel like Europe does a better job at portraying the teenage life and struggle of growing up. They also made Will relatable despite his life being anything but. love this show with my whole soul, cant wait for next season

I respect Simon for finally standing up for himself. He was so loving and forgiving time and time again. Throughout all of their relationship he must've felt so bad. He was always seen as inferior to everyone and to Wille he was a dirty secret. He was filthy to the kids at school because of his lack of wealth and then he was again, the dirty secret. He deserved better than that. The only way i can see them reuniting in season 2 is through wilhelm's public statement about his sexuality. Simon needs to be the pride of wilhelm's not the shame. It portrays well the common dynamic in lgbtq+ relationships, where one person is still in the closet. gay kids need to know that they're worth being openly loved, and don't need to always be loved in secret.
