As someone who also works in the mental health field, i can 100% tell you most of us already have our own therapists too. I don't know if this helps or not, but usually it has less to do with "how messed up" you are and more to deal with their own loss of trust and hope in the world because theyve empathized so much with what you have gone through

One thing that I really liked about this song, that I don't see many others mentioning, is the ending with the muffled drums leading into the chorus. It sets the final chorus up really nicely while also changing it up for the sake of interest. Also the fact that it goes from muffled drums to a phone-call-esc audio quality, while unexpected, was fitting for this type of song, and helped to emphasize the scattered and erratic nature of this song's theme. And from a more musical perspective, switching to the purely lyrical first part of the chorus only for a small drop to occur in the middle was interesting to listen to. I'm not an expert in music, I just enjoyed listening to this song. So take it as you will.
