dumbbell pullovers are the #1 exercise for getting an aesthetic v-taper, they hit your serratus and expand your rib cage in that deep stretch better than any other exercise. frank zane, the king of aesthetics, used this exercise to build his physique and it’s often referred to as the squat of the upper body by old school bodybuilders
edit: try these holding a kettlebell, far superior in my opinion as you can go deeper into the stretch

Train your legs as well gents ... squats are awesome and you don't need to get all crazy with the weight. I started at 10 pounds and worked my way up to 100 pounds and I'm not planning on going any heavier just increasing the set's as they get easier.
