I just realized I called Super Bowling and Super Bowling 64 "very similar" when one game has a giant goblin bowling in a castle dungeon, and the other, uh, doesn't. I meant similar in terms of how it plays and what game modes it has, that's all. Anyway, there's only two games.

The idea of a Big Lebowski's Bowling Championship is actually pretty cool. Imagine the interactions between the matches...

Super Bowling is the first game I got my gramps to play. When I had to trade my Snes in for the N64 he asked me to keep the game. We eventually got another SNES and he got to play it again. It's the one game he liked I kept and will not get rid of ever.

Super Bowling really surprised me with how good it was as a kid -- it was one of those times when all the new games at Blockbuster's were rented out and this was one of the few available that I hadn't tried... and I actually ended up having a nice weekend with it lol

We need a bowling game featuring Peter Weber and his famous "WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? I AM!!" line.

Wow! The ratio of bowling games on the Virtual Boy was MUCH higher than on the SNES.😂 I would have guessed more than two bowling games on the SNES

Man, I adored Super Bowling as a kid. My mom loved bowling and got it for herself when I was a kid and we spent so much time together playing it. Such a memorable soundtrack.

Super Bowling also gets points for being one of the easiest SNES games to play with 4 players, since you just pass the controller around it makes for a fun and chill game to just play while you're hanging out

BTW...Walter Ray Williams Jr is widely considered the GOAT of pro bowling. I think dude is still active today on the seniors tour. He's also an s-tier horseshoes player, so that's an interesting combo.

I love the art style for Super Bowling! It's like a Japanese cutesy take on American comic strip cartoons like Archie and Blondie! I'm pretty sure that was what they were going for since Bowling is a very American sport and pastime.

This video made me check who started at point for the Sonics in 1981. In case you're curious, it was Gus Williams, a mostly forgotten but actually solid baller .

That golf-style power meter dates back to 10th Frame on 8-bit computers, made by the Access team who also did Leaderboard Golf and Links. Super Bowling looks like fun, and the imaginary Super Lebowski would rock. Tiertex were a UK company, known for a lot of poor arcade conversion on Commodore 64 and Amiga. Brunswick World looks solid if not spectacular. Great video.

I immediately wanted to say that you were forgetting Nester's Funky Bowling because I remember reading about it in Nintendo Power, but then I remembered that that was one of the few benighted Virtual Boy games. Poor, poor Nester. He finally got a game of his own, but it was not only just a bowling game, but it was on the biggest mistake Nintendo ever made.

I remember playing these games with my avid, disabled bowling friend. He couldn't make it to the lanes in real life but we had a blast and would play Super Bowling all night long.

Wasn't expecting the SNES to have the same number of bowling games as the Virtual Boy
